It is a matter of whether you want the enjoyment of driving a car of your own or  prefer a fatter bank account.  Again it is a choice in a diplomatic system.

This is the reason why only 11% of S'poreans are able to own a car. Most car owners have enough left over after spending on their car to pay the mortgage on their private residence, take vacations overseas, eat out, raise a family and save for the future. However, the number of such people is getting smaller.
