I don't mind retire in China problem is China want you or not? They have too many of their own race ppl. Furthermore you old lao kok kok cannot contribute to their economy what for want you? You give them monies they not interested as their country much richer than you no scared no monies. So it is a question of they want you rather than you want them issue.

We need to adapt to their weather, their culture, food... the whole environment.
Going there for long holidays is ideal.
After a while, you will get homesick.
There is no place like home.

Southern China has a weather almost similar to ours, though it may have a mild winter. Food wise it's fantastic. Guangdong is famous for their good. My opinion is their food is even better than ours.

As for Malaysians they have many options different states, many of their children migrate to Australia NZ etc.

True, many Msians migrated to Australia however retirement life is boring there as they can’t eat the food they get in Msia and they can’t have friends they have in Msia. Things are far more exydienubder.

Heard the food in Guangzhou is the best, much more original and refined than that in HK. Besides Yunnan is so exotic and beautiful, can travel there from Guangzhou by HSR. Living experience is much lower in China.

Hainan is beautiful however it is now the most expensive place in China, Sanya especially. A lot of rich people bought properties there. Avoid.

Yalar, the chicken they eat in Hainan are skinny, one of our neighbours grandparents are Hainanese, they like the chicken so much that they smuggled chickens from Hainan to Spore by wrapping them in a carrying bag.

Non-Sanya cities or towns are still cheaper than Spore prices.
Eg. this Wenchang Bolo Beef Noodle only costs RMB10 (S$2) whereas one similar bowl in People's Park Food Centre costs S$4-5!

And meat in Hainan are generally tastier and sweeter than those in Spore, especially chicken meat.
But Hainanese taste buds can be different from ours. My Hainan relatives like the chicken during the winter period as the meat is much fatter.
Whereas I never eat Chicken skin nor its fat -- avoid chicken rice nowadays.
