People here can understand each other very well as long as their message gets through with simple English or Singlish and there is no need to split the fuuking hair over one word 'beauty'

"Foreigner" is not used in China. There, they call non-Chinese ----> Aliens. A Singaporean going there is called an Alien. It shant help to scream I am Chinese! I am Chinese! as most here would do. The immigration kor kor will tell them, neo, chiu are a Singaporean, not a Chinese. Look at the colour of your passport, and if you can read, look what's written on the cover. In past visits, the staff in a boutique or restaurant would ask us where we hailed from while fixing their eyes on my wife. She's no spring chicken but she has a youthful appearance and a spring in her step. We spoke 普通话 to the staffers who must have felt we had a foreign-sounding accent.
My wife replied that we're from 新加坡 and we're 新加坡人 without specifying our race. There was no need to since we look very Chinese. Once, a staff member of a boutique store asked what was our race. My wife replied that we're 新加坡华人 (Chinese S'poreans).

An English teacher teaches English, and he will never openly admit his own grammar or spelling mistakes, let alone engage in self-flagellation, which is severely criticising himself for the mistakes he's made. Not once have I given an English lesson to anyone nor have I corrected anyone's mistakes. That's the job of a grammarian, not a student.
In point of fact, I recently admitted to making a grammar mistake even to the point of self-flagellation. Would any English teacher do it? My long-winded postings are not a literary showmanship as you claimed. Everybody knows my writing is very wordy, and I've been writing wordy posts since the day I joined this forum. To date, no one has made any insinuation of my posts being boastful - you're the first. Do not confuse verbose writing style with boastfulness.
[size=large]If you had read my previous posts, you'd have found one that says I'm all for writing informally. In an informal forum, anything goes - slang words, broken English, half-past six English - as long as we make ourselves understood. You asked readers to read all my past posts. Have you done that? By the way, we're not having an English lesson here.
Quote:1) Island of so few beauties. Can you make sense of this phrase?
2) Island peopled by so few beauties.
3) Island inhabited by so few beauties.
The first one is poor grammar, no doubt about it, and was constructed by yours truly.
NB: Inhabit isn't an appropriate word here. It's mainly used in formal or scientific contexts. In everyday language, peepur usu say someone lives in a place.
NB: 'Alien' is used in official contexts. In everyday English, 'foreigner' is used, but many here have a distrust of foreigners, so it may be better to use the expression 'peepur from other countries.'

There has to be a seismic mindset change. Are women willing?

There are so many filthy rich people but so few available beauties living in this tiny island. Men with money to burn don't have much choice when it comes to snaring the choicest catch. The really good-looking Ann Kok would have been the pick of the bunch, or at least an excellent catch. However, her age may count against her.
