The plastic bag, normally we dont throw away immediately.
Will use them as thrash bag. Only some kuku ppl will throw them away immediately.

Over population is another killer to Climate Change.
More human activities more carbon footprints.
Stop importing.
Keep population below 5 million ppl.

The best way to stop and minimise carbon footprint is to change our life style.

Yes should charge extra for plastic bottle drinks
force them to change back to reusable glass bottle.

Plastic bottle pollution is much more.

USA started charging 20 cents and 50 cents for all their food in plastic containers/ bags  and must go to a nearby kiosk to get a FULL refund.

Some are vending machines while some are manned by people.

All drinks, detergent containers or bags, shampoo containers, egg packs, peanut butter containers . . . .

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

Singapore is lagging behind many countries on this.

I totally support this look at the number of plastic bags people use and they never bring their own bags ....and refuse to change this bad habit.

Just being your own bag if you want to save the 20cts it's that simple.

You just dump your refuse down the refuse chute??? People who are civil minded will pack their refuse into plastic bag then dump into the refuse chute leh.

SO if NTUC dont supply plastic bag anymore, then the people still have to buy form refuse plastic bag , so what is the saving and environmental friendly we are talking about???

Dont be a hypocrite and lets face the reality, and dont be a parrot just becos some environmentalists promoting it One must see how to implement it instead of talking on paper only

Ever since when did PAP NEVER exploit the situation to benefit themselves?

They are Famous Bankers who uses the handicap to perform on Ch 8 News to drive donation, abuse FWs to say we need FTs to replace our jobs, divert tax payers money to subsidize Tuition for foreign students . . .

Their Hidden Agenda will be made known when their crack policies and wayang ministries all do not point at the issue.

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

Whichever way.
Be responsible to how we use our plastics.
If there is a real need, use it.
If you can save, save it
If you have a choice, avoid using it.
Can choose other means, like paper, or other reusable, so be it.
At the end of the day, it's commonsense over that ntuc express's10 or 20 cents

Yes! Be responsible for our environment.

Do we want ants, cockroaches, rodents and other pests to crawl all over the rubbish chutes in our estates in every floor.

We reuse Plastic bags to bundle our daily trash - dry or wet and neatly disposed of it in rubbish chutes or bins. Is this not a need for plastic bags? Is this not responsible use of plastic bags?.

How do we dispose our wet trash - unwanted leftover foods - fish bones, gravy etc with paper?. Is paper liquid absorbent and won't be torn apart when thrown down the rubbish chutes. Who will be accused next for irresponsibly disposing of our trash when rubbish chutes are stink to the core?

Rubbish chutes now need more frequent washing. Hence, more cleaners required. Conservancy charges will rise. Who pay the price?

 Who responsible for this?

When more people throw rubbish unbagged, cockroaches and rats will infest chute. Then govt will start scolding people for the infestation.

Ntuc huat huat, this kind of plastic bags if order in bulk probably cost $0.01 each but dare to charge customers 10 to 20 times more. Boycott better, buy at wet market or provision shops.

Agree, when one issue is settled, another issue pops up....all 'wet' rubbish needs to be sealed in used plastic bags for disposal...if this is not done, then we will have rats and cockroaches infesting the rubbish chute....it is a catch 22 problem... crying

Devil

Now its free plastic bags. So suka suka just throw those unwanted stuff into the bag and rid them into rubbish chute. Most of the time, bag can still fill up more.
Easy come, easy go.
But when that plastic bag cost 10 cents, think twice. Got to make full use of it.
Human reaction.

Bro., you have a point there, but not to hold any National Day celebration is not going to usher well to our leaders. One of the reasons why we have national Day is to show our military might, so that other country don't think we are a pushover..... Thinking

If PAP is really trustworthy, disGrace wouldn't exist at all.

If they really want to curb the use of plastics, why PAP only punish the poor?

The rich can still push out a cart of food with 10 plastic bags because they can easily afford it.

Unless the idiot CCBAI can set a MAXIMUM of 3 plastic bags.  Anyway, cars have those IKEA boxes where many items are just thrown in there without the need for plastic bags.

NEVER Trust PAP.
