But we find NT translators putting punctuation marks at their discretion which can change the meaning of the text, like how I've demonstrated. At best, we can mark that verse in 2 Peter 1 ambiguous as proof Peter was preaching Jesus is God. 

Peter could not have been preaching Jesus is God because he would have been chased out of the temple if that was what he was preaching.

Just mentioning Jesus would have placed Peter and his fellow disciples on the wanted list. They were guided by the Holy Spirit and no longer had fear of the authorities and death which is not to say they weren't trying to evade capture. They were preaching and testifying until their own appointed time of death arrived. You wanted proof that Peter preached abt Jesus as God I have posted you the passage.  Readers can decide for themselves if you are the one burying your head in the sand by denying/subverting the inherent meaning of Peter's words. .

The Apostle Paul was persecuting peepur but after he met God, he became an evangelist for the Gospel.
