Are most elderly self-centred, entitled and selfish?

Aging is a complex process that may cause various emotional and physical changes in some individuals who experience isolation, loss or decreased independence, which may lead to them behaving in a self-centred or demanding manner. However, it is important to note that such behaviour is often rooted in underlying factors. Not every senior exhibits such traits though. What do you think?

it has nothing to do with aging.
it has to do with a person if he is getting in problems without help.

if you are above 40 yrs and cannot find jobs for years due to ageism, you will become self-centred and demanding.
if you are rich or has stable govt job , you can buy whatever help that you need, you will remain stable and cheerful.

Just look at Jac Lau who is a Fake Christain

Because there is no god in his heart nor mind

His words, actions and thoughts are very obvious

自我, 自大 like a 3 Year-old toddler who needs to drink mother's milk.

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

I have witnessed my uncles and aunts squabble over inheritance even though they are all retired with more money that they are able to spend now that they are in their late 70s and 80s. None of them live in HDB flats and their children visit them regularly.

it could be their character problem.

for example, when you see problem, you could be the first one to run away without helping others

Generalisation is normally not my cup of tea. Because it is highly inaccurate and misleading by singular incident or headline.

Eg, certain nationality, race, gender and age group is bad or good. Life is not so simple and God don't create everyone's behaviour in line with such criteria..😂

However back to your post, between elderly and young, which is more self centred or selfish.

Well my logical thinking is 55 years old above understand they might not have many more 10s year left. LWL just passed away at 69. Eventhough she was a Intelligent doctor, Minister's daughter and Wealthy.

So any commoners like me above 60s, should accept we can up lorry anytime soon.
We lived through all of the odds in life, sweet, bitter and sour.
What else have we not seen?
Retrenchment, Divorce, Breakup, Recession, Miscarriage, Business failure, Charged in SAF, Accident, Sickness etc....

When you know time is not much left, you will let go many small or unnecessary bickering.
No point winning in every argument because there is no prize at the end. And nobody will give you a damn even when you beaten your opponents. 😊

Life goes on as usual, the world doesn't wait for you or your opinion.

When you die, good friends and loves one cry in wake. One year later, some may still cherish you. Ten years later, you're just a forgotten story book in the selves.
Everyone is just too occupied with their lifestyle, or with the wars, recession and new BTO launches. 😂

I am more afraid of today's youth or young. Whenever stranger talk to me, I stay at least 1 m away, incase they go crazy and Sucker Punch 👊 🤪

The young still has many stages to go through in life. They maybe well educated but EQ needs years of experience to level up.

I witnessed youth lost control and become violent easily. When they are retrenched, breakup with girlfriend, lose in gambling and when PAP won the election 😂

One 20s young man was banging the lift door shouted vulgarity against PAP winning the election. Eventhough we were just standing behind him...

Well, the result never changes after that GE. What can we do for him and the lift door 🚪?

We noticed many news about Mental Welfare today, many are targeted on our youngs.
I don't remember such news about my generation youth.
Maybe we were a more tolerance bunch. Taking setbacks within our grit.

Some already forget who they are.
Be more tolerant.

Either ignore them, be more forgiving and dun learn from them. Other than that, what else do you want to do to them?

How thee treat thy elders is how thee will be treated when thy turn cometh
