But his writing style and ability to articulate long paragraphs quickly seem incongruous. If my intuition is right, he might actually be a university graduate who is simply spending time in the forum while searching for a job.

I distinctly remember an incident where Abdul belittled him, and I stood up for him, saying that he was a far better person than Abdul. I believe my words genuinely touched him, and the ongoing discussions were likely a way for him to seek the recognition he desired...He actually did quite a fair bit of research by watching his favorite apologist on YouTube....  

I think he will return as the general election approaches... politics is his favorite subject, and we’ll find ourselves in opposing camps..

By Jove, he's a jocular fella who could make straight-faced people laugh sometimes. Seriously, he had some "training in law" in his younger days. That's all I know about his field of work. I'm not sure if he was on an internship after passing the bar. If he did, little wonder, then, that he has such an argumentative nature, as befits a lawyer. Besides, he can't help arguing because the nature of his job is to argue.

It was ages ago when I knew him - by another nick. Back then, he was the familiar bogeyman of the forum fraternity, who was much hated by oppies for his fierce partisanship, acerbic wit, and biting remarks. He was a tough nut with ice water in his veins, a person to be reckoned with. People reading Oyk's posts in the early stage of our discussion thought he was uncouth. Me too felt his online behaviour left something to be desired, but I've always tried to avoid being judgmental. Judgment belongs to God and He is the only One who knows the whole situation. After a while, I noticed things took a turn for the better. There was an improvement in Oyk's online conduct, perhaps after getting some feedback and after some moments of self-reflection.

Yes, our shared religious values has brought us together despite being on both sides of the political divide. Come what may, our unwavering faith in God trumps all other concerns. I appreciate your unblinking view of the Oyk's episode. You're not one to shirk from calling a spade a spade. The same cannot be said for his detractors. Blinded by their hatred for Oyk, they couldn't differentiate between "mental dexterity" and "putting words into people's mouths" - that's between skill in using your mind and unethical behaviour, in the strict sense.

There’s a small chance he might be telling the truth. He brought up the muslimahs at his workplace, mentioning that it's inappropriate to discuss religion with them...He wanted to help his Malaysian colleagues with cash during Hari Raya...

 He frequently posted pictures of meals that seem suitable for an older person’s appetite. His extensive knowledge of the countries he has visited also contributes to this picture. All of his statements suggest that he could indeed be older....

If you look at the latest exchanges between Sentinel and Oyk, you'll notice that they refer to themselves as the "Kings of Mothers calling." Sentinel has invoked his mother multiple times, but Oyk chose not to mother call in return....Instead, he compliments Sentinel for his intelligence and the clarity of his arguments....

There are good and bad sides to his character...I can also write alot to condemn him during our early exchanges...I can tell you it was very nasty...grandmothers also come into play

Yes ...but when you include Jesus...you affirm that the revelations revealed to Jesus is true but the verse did not say that the revelation to Muhammad is true
