There is truth in the EU thingy. Trump started making friends with Putin and offer Ukraine. Then did his tariff thingy, fully aware that he was selective about the data and still trying to pull EU away from China. But EU and China got closer with their retaliation stand. Tariff can be overcome if China really wants to do so, backdoor to Russia has always been there, likewise China production for normal goods has been shifting or shifted out to all over the world. Notice tech stuff is not traded between USA and China? The next few years may well be a transition between USA and China.
