Many ppl dont know selling aeroplanes do not really make big profit. The area that can make big profit is the high maintenance cost. Rotfl
You cant simply replace any original components from the plane even it is expensive. Why?
Becos of air crash, how to explain during investigation? Sure will kena fine jialat jialat if never using original parts.

Making aeroplanes requires a lot of supporting industry to manufacture and supply materials and parts. The whole supply chain creates many jobs!

ACAE’s developmental CJ-1000A is a 25,000lb (111.2kN) thrust engine designed for the Comac C919 airliner as an indigenous alternative to the CFM International Leap-1C.

Ok I was reading Wiki (Angmo website?) which says Under Development

C919 is still using the French engines from CFM. (One reason why Airbus managed to get nearly 400 orders from the Chinese)

Meanwhile COMEC already completed the plane's development and operational testing for years, and cannot wait for CJ-1000.

The CJ-1000 is currently being tested on an evaluation 4-engine aircraft - a civilian version of the PLA's Y-20 which itself is China' newest and 1st strategic heavy-lift military transport jet.

Think China like to buy existing and learn and then built their own. Still remember their first aircraft carrier is a second hand Russian refurbished. Then later they built their own after learning. China is pretty quick to learn and then built their own. China bashers would say they are photo-copiers of cuz.

Copying from others is part of learning. E.g. US copied jet engine technology from an inventor in Britain...

Actually not easy to copy as the jet engine turbine blades require very high precision.
Any imbalance will result in vibration when the blades rotate at very high rpm.

The R&D into the fabrication processes (material science), machining and subsequent mass manufacturing will thus create lots of high-paying jobs.

China is latecomer to the high-end industries, but it is catching up.

Eg. High precision machining:
