Its very easy to drive their tanks in unopposed and plant flags on empty lands

The real test is whether they can hold territory when the sheet hits the fan. For now, the terrorist rebels are still in jubilant celebration, trying to get into governing mode

Taking a leaf from recent history of the fall of Saddam - look at what happened to the US troops who were either kicked out or hunkered within the heavily-fortified Green Zone fearing for their lives every time they had to go out

This is the same IDF that is suffering attrition after 14 months of facing guerrillas in sandals

Isreal will eventually have to give up captured territory in exchange for peace with its neighbours

Isreal is now led by genocidal kill'em-all religious fanatics (Smotrich, Ben-Gvir) who want to destroy the 1,000 year old Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and build a 3rd Solomon's Temple with sacrificial red heifers

Next door neighbour Syria is taken over by Turkish-controlled head-chopping fanatics who Isreal would have to fight if it ever wants to level the sacred Mosque

Remember, Jerusalem was under Turkish Ottoman rule for 400 years

In fact, the entire Syria and Palestine including what is now Isreal were once Turkish territory for 400 years, longer than the USA exist..and certainly much longer than the modern state of Syria and Isreal were carved out by the British from the ashes of the Ottoman Empire

The Turks lost these territories just a hundred years ago after the World Wars.

One cannot blame the Turks for harbouring historical territorial ambitions if you support Isreal's historical territorial claims

Here you have the Turks on one side and Isrealis on the other - both are great military powers now on course for a potential head-on collision

What may trigger this collision is the contested site of the sacred Mosque where the future Solomon's Temple is envisioned

Israel’s air force continues to pound Syria, striking ports and missile warehouses in Latakia and Tartous, as their ground troops move deeper into the Syrian Golan Heights, effectively expanding their occupation.
