We've learned there's a clause in LKY's will in which it states that his Oxley house can be preserved and visited only by his family members and descendants in the event of any "changes in the law, rules or regulations." It's a flexible will, so to speak; so nothing is etched in stone.

We know our founding PM wanted his house demolished - his wishes were written to the Cabinet in 2010 and 2011. But then he must have profoundly felt the strong disagreement between his elder son LHL and LHY and LWL over the fate of this house - hence, the flexibility of his last will was couched in simple terms before his passing.
