WP did well. They retained their seats with higher % in Hougang and Sengkang.

There is no need to swing from one extreme to another. WP did well and made a clean sweep of opposition parliament as well (10 + 2) and is on track to moving Singapore towards a two party setup.
As long as they keep up the groundwork in the North East / East side and Aundre and Dr Ong (likely?) make full use of their NCMP status to build up profile just as Sylvia has done, it is in good stead to proceed further.
This however also means life is going to get much more difficult for the other oppo minor parties as they are now left without any exposure and will likely also not be able to attract good candidates as the national psyche pivots towards PAP-WP.
