I beg to differ - It is precisely we remember the Past to understand the Present, both of which can help us plan for the Future.
All are interlinked and we should never allow pple like Pritam to play the game of You-vs-Me over sensitive topics like Languages...PAP did that with speak the Speak Mandarin Campaign that caused substantial harm to generational relation in Chinese-dialect communities. Are we going to repeat that same mistake ? When comes to matters like languages, it runs far far deeper than some would initially believe.

it should be modified to Basic English. Remember our parents' time all must pass Bahasa Melayu in order to become a teacher. Also must pass English in schools if not no full School Certificate. Changes came no need Melayu and English passes. Welcome foreigners that want to integrate not those click among themselves. Govt is just too greedy getting no need to work hard stamp duty.
