Putin Miscalculated is not only a Self-inflicted, it also to kill Ukraine

UK Defence Intelligence notes that the advance of Russian forces towards the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast has accelerated.

Source: UK Defence Intelligence review dated 1 September on X (Twitter), as reported by European Pravda. Details: UK intelligence reports that Russia's Ground Forces (RGF) have accelerated their advance towards Pokrovsk over the past week.

UK Defence Intelligence indicates that the RGF is within 10 km of the city's outskirts. "The rate of advance is likely to slow as Russian ground forces enter Pokrovsk's built-up areas," the review says.
UK intelligence notes that Pokrovsk is a crucial logistical hub for Ukrainian forces in Donetsk Oblast. If captured, it could significantly lengthen and disrupt Ukrainian supply lines.

Although it is for now limited to a few basic functions, plans for the fully expanded Army+ app are much more ambitious. Govt hopes to create the 1st-ever unified military database in Ukraine & develop a full-fledged digital interface interaction between soldiers, army commanders, and state. It should eventually provide a wide range of state services, becoming an army counterpart of Diia, a mobile application citizens have been using for public services dubbed “a state in a smartphone,” launched in 2020 as flagship of Ukraine’s digital innovation. If this goal is reached, it could mark a fundamental shift in how Ukraine manages its one-million-strong army. It would also put Ukraine at the forefront of military innovation, with the U.S. & other NATO military alliance countries using similar systems in their armed forces. Ukraine would stand out as the only country to develop and implement such a system while fighting an existential war.

A lawmaker and member of Zelensky's Servant of the People party, denied the reshuffle was about the President's Office tightening its grip on the govt." The situation now is too serious, & to cope with the challenges, the govt & ⅝president need not only loyal, or rather reliable people, but also professional people,” he said. "Loyalty is only one of the criteria, & the final word on these issues (replacements) belongs to the parliament."

Ukrainian drones strike deeper into Russia, aiming to break war machine, sow discontent. A Ukrainian Kamikaze drone strike hits Konakovo Power Plant in Tver Oblast, Russia on Sept. 1, 2024. Ukraine is striking deep inside Russia, but needs more missile power for farther-reaching strikes into Russia to chip away at Moscow's appetite for war Putin’s grip on power. Sept 5, 2024. Updated:
Just before sunrise on an otherwise sleepy weekend near Moscow, a Russian eyewitness of Ukraine’s kamikaze drone attack on the Kashira Power Plant appeared stunned, unleashing an expletive-laden tirade with his wife alongside.
"They f***g attacked power plant! Wow, honey!" he video posted on Telegram Sept. "A drone is f***g flying there! What the f***k is going on?"
Such was the scene at one target in Ukraine's stunning drone attacks over the weekend into Russia that successfully hit energy infrastructure in Moscow and 160 kilometers north of the capital in Tver Oblast.

While Ukraine has already struck Russian fuel depots and oil refineries, the Sept. 1 attack appears to be the first one to target Russian electricity generation facilities. A alleged video of a Ukrainian kamikaze drone attack on the Kashira Power Plant near Moscow, Russia on Sept. 1, 2024.. Marking the most massive deep aerial counterstrike by Kyiv so far, the Sept. 1 long-range drone strikes highlight intensifying efforts by Ukraine to bring the war home for Russians and break the Kremlin's military machine. Targeting power generators & fuel depots, Ukraine aims to disrupt Russian logistics, limit Russia's ability to launch air strikes & restrict fuel as well as electricity supplies to military facilities & defense industry.

Ukrainian military expert Dmytro Zhmailo told the Kyiv Independent that Kyiv aims to "break Russia's military logistics and its war machine" and "to make them feel the lack of everything necessary. What we are seeing now is most likely the beginning of a larger and longer campaign aimed at the Russian energy system,” Polish military expert Konrad Muzyka said in a social media post.

According to a Reuters report citing US officials, the United States is nearing an agreement to provide Ukraine with the AGM-158 Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) that could dramatically enhance the strike capabilities of Ukrainian F-16 Fighting Falcons.

The report also disclosed that one key aspect of a potential deal is the US effort to adapt the JASSM for use with Ukraine’s Soviet-era aircraft.
The anticipated announcement regarding the inclusion of JASSMs in the upcoming weapons package is expected to be made this autumn.
This news follows reports from earlier this year when Ukrainian officials revealed plans to receive a type of air-launched cruise missile with a range of up to 300 miles for their F-16s.

CNN has obtained another drone video, also from Zaporizhzhia region, showing May this year, near the heavily contested village of Robotyne, Russian troops took 3-Ukrainian soldiers (like sheep) to lie face down after their dugout was overrun.

Ukraine’s defence (CNN audio) transcripts of intercepts of what it saying was order from a Russian commander, known as “Turk,” to his subordinate, “Maloy,” to kill prisoners. (Sheep): Take them f**king down, f***king zero them, zero them. TURK:  Once you finish them, report back.

Drone video shows how, all 3 Ukrainians are out of trench & lying face down, the Russians fire. Russian Putin is the subject of an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court over his role in an alleged scheme to forcibly deport Ukrainian children to Russia, Kyiv is aggressively pursuing claims of genocide against Moscow. Kostin, the prosecutor general, suggested the systematic nature of these alleged battlefield executions meant they could become part of the wider genocide case.

UN Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, Dr. Morris Tidball-Binz, visited Ukraine iMay at invitation of Kyiv, part to examine reports of extrajudicial killings in combat.
UN investigative source told CNN some apparent executions of Ukrainian soldiers had been subject to their examination. “Many. There's a pattern. It suggests complacency, if orders to give no quarter,” source said, referring to the practice of showing no mercy.

“Killings are war crimes individually,” source said, “together could amount to crimes against Putin. humanity.”

Despite new aid pledges, the result has been rather lackluster. Kyiv has been promised at least one "vintage" air defense system, along with missiles, tanks, armored vehicles, artillery, and other munitions. The much-coveted long-range weapons like additional ATACMS or Storm Shadow were not on the menu, nor were changes to restrictions on their use – at least publicly.
While the new weaponry promised by the U.S., Canada, Germany, Spain, the U.K., and the Netherlands is an undeniable boon to Ukraine's Armed Forces, this week's pledges do not compare to some of the earlier summits, which saw pledges worth dozens of billions of dollars.

WATCH: Russian Soldier Catches and Runs with Ukrainian FPV Drone Until It Detonates in His Hands.  Ukrainian aerial scout told Kyiv Post that the drone’s detonation mechanism might malfunction, but operators can usually trigger the explosion remotely. On Sunday, September 8, the brigade released an extended video with the caption, “Another look at the drone catcher who became posthumously famous.”

This footage, recorded by the drone’s camera, shows the soldier first trying to evade and flee from the drone before eventually catching it. The video then captures the drone’s detonation, ending with the soldier lying motionless on the road.

Allies worry Ukraine won’t be able to retain Kursk land if Russia intensifies attack some European officials fear Kyiv could be forced to give up the 1,300 sq km of Russian territory if Moscow mounts a larger counteroffensive. Ukraine’s daring offensive into Russia’s Kursk region impressed Kyiv’s allies with its quick initial success, upending perceptions the war had settled into a stalemate and exposing the hollowness of Vladimir Putin’s vows to defend his territory at all costs. But a month into the operation, US and European officials still question what Kyiv’s endgame is for the 1,300 sq km (500 square miles) of Russian territory it says its forces now occupy.

Some allied officials fear Kyiv could be forced to give up that land within a few months if Moscow mounts a larger counter-attack. With Russian forces pressing an offensive of their own in Ukraine’s east, using superior numbers to crack Kyiv’s lines, some European officials expressed concern that the cost of the Kursk operation may prove high.

They spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss private deliberations. Ukraine kept its allies in the dark about its plans for the operation, the largest incursion suffered by Moscow since World War II. The lightning campaign has revealed the weakness of Russian defences, challenging the view that Putin’s two-year-old invasion had become a grinding war of attrition played to the Kremlin’s advantages.

Ukraine Has Invented Its Own Precision Glide Bomb. It Could Become A Key Weapon For Strikes On Targets In Russia. The bomb seems to have a rocket booster and pop-out wings, potentially giving it a 40-mile range.

Every day, Russian warplanes lob as many as a hundred KAB glide bombs at Ukrainian troops and cities. The 25-mile-range bombs, some as heavy as three tons, are among the most devastating weapons in Russia’s 30-month wider war on Ukraine—and a crucial factor in Russia’s advances in eastern Ukraine this year. Now Ukraine is preparing to fight back—with its own glide bombs. A recent video shot by the crew of a Ukrainian air force Sukhoi Su-27 fighter depicts an air force Sukhoi Su-24 bomber carrying a prototype gliding munition under its wing.

Not content to lob American-made JDAM-ER and French-made Hammer glide bombs, the Ukrainians clearly intend to arm their jets with locally made bombs, as well. Air force brigadier general Serhii Holubotsov announced back in June that the service was developing a new glide and guidance kit to transform Soviet-vintage unguided bombs into precision munitions. The test flight on that Su-24 was an important step in the new weapon’s development.

The Ukrainian air force obviously is happy with the Hammer’s range and precision; it’s obviously unhappy with the supply of the bomb. France pledged to provide just 50 Hammers a month—far too few to match the roughly 3,000 KABs the Russians drop all along the 700-mile front line every month

So. Just 2 days ago, first drone missile is quite a breakthrough for military industry in Ukraine. So understand one of the advantages for Ukraine here is they wouldn't have to abide by restrictions by western countries placed on their use of these weapons, as Ukraine still need missiles provided by other countries, it can now make its own!. Yes.

Yes, surely, b'cos now can produce a few more, 3 or more missiles per mth, not that now producing in hundreds immediately, one nice strike need at least 2 - 3 (these) missiles, if want to survive - knowing not to allow little bit longer for enemy tobe here, need to get those same type or about same missile. To really target, eg, the Russian airfields from where jet's strike at Ukraine, we need a certain number of the those ammunition. Plus, we're just starting producing, that makes it - like, it also will need some time to test out; while U.S. has enough of their ATACMS. We already can use against these military targets.

One year ago, & a year later, Moscow is working to save the self from Putin's war, coming to full 3rd years... Sad Sick

At the moment, the US and UK have not given Ukraine permission to use long-range missiles against targets inside Russia for fear of escalation. UK has given Ukraine Storm Shadow missiles, which have a range of about 250km (155 miles). So far, they have been used only against Russian targets in occupied Ukrainian territory.
But Ukrainian leaders say they need the missiles to target air bases used by Russian warplanes to launch devastating glide bombs against Ukraine. These weapons are often launched from deep inside Russian territory. The Kremlin said on Wednesday that Russia would respond "appropriately" if the US were to allow Ukrainian missile strikes on its territory.

Kyiv's other allies have also been supplying some long-range weapons - with restrictions on how and when they can be used inside Russia, out of concern such strikes could prompt retaliation that draws Nato countries into the war or provokes a nuclear conflict, a visit to UK before travelling to Kyiv, Blinken accused Iran of supplying short-range ballistic missiles to Russia, saying they could be deployed against Ukrainians within weeks. Lammy described Iran's move as "a significant and dangerous escalation”, missiles are likely to boost Russia's arsenal, enabling it to hit Ukrainian cities close to Russia's borders or areas it already controls at the same time as it deploys its longer-range missiles deeper into Ukrainian territory. Iran has repeatedly denied supplying such self-guided weapons to Russia.
