Russia prepared for the situation years ago

Information

The consumption of artillery ammunition exceeds the global production of ammunition many times over..

Russia has naturally had the most time to prepare and make ammunition for storage. However, it seems that a situation like the current one has not been predicted, if ammunition has to be washed up to the brim of Belarusian warehouses.

According to Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maljar, the ammunition consumption of the Ukrainian artillery alone is currently greater than the production of ammunition in the entire world.

More likely it is for the consumption of Russian ammo, which is many times that of the Ukrainian side.
And Russia is pulling out its old Soviet-era stockpile for this war.

However if the Russian stockpile is depleted (will still take months though) and NATO side starts a war, the bombs used will be nuclear.

Can see Rus using Soviet era stock pile, as they using a lot non smart bombs in this war.
And with the rate at Ukr army losing ammo to Rus, Rus artillery can last many months more.

A real surprise is old T62 which not even in reserve list still in quite good condition.
As Austria commander highlighted, T62 being smaller than modern tanks,
can battle better in narrow city streets.

Russia seeks to ramp up offensive near Izyum, says UK intelligence

Russian troops are attempting to intensify their offensive near the eastern Kharkiv Oblast town of Izyum, the UK Defense Ministry said in its daily intelligence update on Twitter on June 27.

“While Russia’s main operational focus remains the Severodonetsk-Lysychansk pocket, a week of consistently heavy shelling suggests

Russia is now trying to regain momentum on the northern Izyum axis,” the ministry said.
