Islamic ideology is holding back the Islamic nations from experiencing the 21st century world by forcing them to live in the 7th century conception of the world. This is one of the reasons why most Muslim nations are underdeveloped on many levels. For example, take the nations of Arabia and Iran (e.g., Capital punishment in Saudi Arabia - Wikipedia, Capital punishment in Iran - Wikipedia).

If you were not a Muslim male, would you want to live there?

Islam is not holding back the world because it can’t. This is why the Western and Asian nations (non-Islamic nations) are advanced in the sciences, politics, economics, ethics, medicine, literature and so forth (e.g., List of Nobel laureates by country - Wikipedia).

If you were not a Muslim male and you had the choice between living in a Western/Asian nation or in an Islamic nation, where would you rather live?

You shouldn’t compare a non Muslim with a Muslim when it comes to the beliefs .
Muslim  want to focus on next worldly success.while Non Muslims want to focus only on this worldly success.
That is why you see Muslims as backward even though they have degrees, professional jobs and Businesses.

We don’t want to take the risks in believing someone died for our salvation.

This world life is 0-100 years only 

Next world life is endless.Imagine if someone has to live in the hell for 1000+ years.

“Rather, seek the ˹reward˺ of the Hereafter by means of what Allah has granted you, without forgetting your share of this world. And be good ˹to others˺ as Allah has been good to you. Do not seek to spread corruption in the land, for Allah certainly does not like the corruptors.”Quran 28:77

“Know that this worldly life is no more than play, amusement, luxury, mutual boasting, and competition in wealth and children. This is like rain that causes plants to grow, to the delight of the planters. But later the plants dry up and you see them wither, then they are reduced to chaff. And in the Hereafter there will be either severe punishment or forgiveness and pleasure of Allah, whereas the life of this world is no more than the delusion of enjoyment.” Quran 57:20
