While both groups pray five times a day, Shias may combine two sets of prayers (Zuhr with Asr, and Maghrib with Isha) into three prayer sessions. Additionally, there are minor differences in the specific actions and recitations during prayer.
I do that often too, combine prayers when I'm on the road.
Shia can pray with us at our mosques because they don't differ in the performance of the Solah.
