I didn't ask about Ishmaelites. At the advent of Prophet Muhammad صلي الله عليه وسلم, the Ishmaelites were worshipping idols. That is a well-known history.

You said Ishmael worshiped other gods. I want proof of that from the Bible.

Even though the Ishmaelites were not worshipping the true God but His promise to Ishmael still stand..

So Even if you are not worshipping Yahweh...Yahweh's promise to Ishmael's descendants still stand

They the Israelites knew who the real God was and God had a convenant with Isaac...did God punish the Israelites?

For Ishmael, it is different, his descendants did not worship God and they are idols worshippers! They are not part of the main convenant God had with Isaac..
