Scripture readings for Christmas

“The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It is done!” Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found. From the sky huge hailstones, each weighing about a hundred pounds, fell on people. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.”

Satan will be released and deceive the world once more
Later judgement where satan the beast and false prophets will
Be thrown into the lake of fire forever

“Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls. The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia in length, and as wide and high as it is long. The angel measured the wall using human measurement, and it was 144 cubits thick. The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass. I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”

(03-04-2025, 07:12 AM)Ali Imran Wrote:  You recommend we don't confuse the issue. I agree. So let's keep it simple for now.

What is sin? A transgression of God's law. If there is no law, there is no transgression, and it follows that there will be no sin. It is as simple as that.

Please explain why you won't agree to that simple equation.

You will get no argument from me regarding the synonyms 'sin' and 'transgression.' Sin, as we know, is a privation of obedience, a 'lawlessness,' a term you often use to attach to followers of Paul. Our talking point concerned the law, and you should acknowledge that I've addressed your oft-repeated question on why we think Paul is right in saying the law is cursed. I also touched on the fact that old sacrificial system and the covenant on which it rested are obsolete.

The issue wasn't about the 'licence to sin,' as you brought out in a poser - 'You're free to sin..?' - that mirrors Paul's letter to the Corinthian Christian in Heb: ‘Shall we go on sinning, so that grace may increase?' (v.6:1) and "Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace?' (v.6:15) 'Once saved, always saved' is a familiar enough cliche in evangelical circles. OSAS means different things to different people.

Your Islamic concept of works salvation is on a collision course with the Scripture doctrine of justification by faith. The texts have often been ripped from their context and treated as a do-good version that needs no divine redemption. That's one of the most common distortions of our faith.

I am glad to get that honest statement from you. Yes, Christians are followers of Paul. I have often argued with LKSM, who kept saying he follows Jesus, pbuh.

We can agree to disagree on the topic of the Law. I believe the Law, which was sent by God, is a blessing and mercy from God. You believe the Law is a curse sent by God.

I don't consume pork because of God's law, which forbids it. You can consume it because you believe the law is lifted or abolished. Consuming pork is not a sin for you.

As you can see, if there is no law, there is no sin. So why are Christians still arguing about sinning when they believe there is no more law? Btw, is the law against adultery also abolished?

Obedience to the law, which requires work, is not just an Islamic concept. The biblical prophets, including Jesus pbuh also taught the same.

Thank you.

First, I don't follow Mosaic law. I follow Shariah.

If I follow Mosaic law, I will try my best to keep all.

I kiss my wife also. Is that idolatry? Do you know the meaning of idolatry?

Do you follow Paul or Jesus? You cannot say both because Jesus didn't abolish the law but Paul did.

Did all the Israelites die? I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Black stone can remove sins...criminals love the stone Big Grin...they do not need to repent ..all they need to do is to touch it

Sunan an-Nasa'i 2919
It was narrated from Abdullah bin Ubaid bin Umair that a man said:
"O Abu abdur-Rahman, why do I only see you touching these two corners?" He said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Touching them erases sins.' And I head him say: 'whoever circumambulates seven times, it is like freeing a slave.'"

Why cannot compare?

You believe the law sent by God is a curse. We believe the law sent by God is a blessing and mercy.

Ergo, you believe God sent down a curse on mankind. We believe God sent down blessings and mercy on mankind.

They speak of a one God, yet they practice a pagan religion that, even today, demands the sacrifice of human and animal lives.
