Scripture readings for Christmas

(24-06-2025, 05:23 PM)Ali Imran Wrote:  Yes, we have a new law, the Shariah. We are followers of Muhammad صلي الله عليه وسلم. We are not the followers of Jesus. But you claim to be a follower of Jesus. So let's stick to Jesus, Paul, and the Bible. We can also discuss the Shariah if you like.

We're using your earlier criteria. If a vision of Jesus came with something that is not in line with the scriptures, you said it is of the devil, not Jesus. So, Paul said he had a vision of Jesus and what he brought is not in line with the previous scriptures or the teachings of Jesus. Using your criteria, we can only come to one conclusion.

Remember, it is your own criteria.

Who says Paul discarded the law? No one would agree with you

Whenever I ask Christians why they no longer keep to the Law, they will quote Paul.

Allah is most gracious, most merciful, most generous. The request of His beloved servant is fulfilled. It does not make Allah weak. Compare that to what you believe, Jesus pleading with God the whole night through and you believe God just ignored his prayer.

When they removed the verse 1 John 5:7, was it because of scribal errors?

No, not because of scribal error. We both know why they removed it.

I criticize his belief, not the God of Jesus.

Take note of the words "you believe" in my post.

No, not because of scribal error. We both know why they removed it.

It appears in some Latin manuscripts..and present in some later Greek manuscripts but is absent from the earliest Greek manuscripts and early versions like the Syriac, Coptic, Armenian, and Ethiopic translations.

it's widely believed to be a later addition to the text, rather than an original part of the letter...so the responsible thing to do is to remove it ..

Is it scribal error or corruption? Absolutely not!

No. Paul would have led a normal life, he was beheaded likely due to his Christian faith... What have you done? You have no vision of God and you are not inspired by God but you are only good at criticising the works and effort he put in for Christianity...

We shouldn't anthropomorphize the Almighty God.

You call your father "father". You call the priest "father". And then, you call the Almighty God "father" too. That's not cool, calling God by the same term as other humans.

Let's get back to the topic.

Using your criteria earlier, can we conclude that the entity that visited Paul on the road to Damascus is not Jesus?

Let us use logic and justice as the benchmark....would God allow Christianity to grow in numbers if Paul's vision is the devil?

The devil's main aim is to bring down Jesus and destroy his followers ..there is no reasons to build christianity... remember what Allah said?

Allah said, ‘O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection

Oh so you say Moses , Jesus and the past prophets were wrong to call God their Father? Only Allah rejects the term Father!
Can Allah be a Father in any sense..the answer is No!

Moses:
In Deuteronomy 32:6, Moses uses the term "Father" when reflecting on God's relationship with Israel.

Isaiah:
Isaiah 63:16, speaks of God as "our Father, though Abraham does not know us and Israel does not acknowledge us".

Jeremiah:
Jeremiah 31:9 also uses the father-son metaphor, stating, "I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn."

Other prophets:
While not as explicit, other prophetic writings hint at God's compassionate and protective nature, which can be associated with a fatherly role.

Jesus:
Jesus frequently refers to God as "Father," particularly in the New Testament, emphasizing a personal and intimate relationship. He also teaches his followers to pray to God as "Our Father

That argument is fallacious. God allows atheism to increase in many traditionally Christian nations. God allows Buddhism to spread beyond the shores of India.

Does that mean Buddhism or atheism is true? Surely not.

Exactly. Paul had a vision, and he went on to nullify the teachings of Jesus as well as other biblical prophets.

The numbers speak for themselves and it is the reflection of God's will! What are the numbers of atheist? Roughly 16% of the world population...how about buddhism? Maybe slightly more...so are they true? You answered for them already

Laughing God didnt bring Christianity down but make it flourish for a long time ....so using your logic, God is wrong and prone to mistakes?

Ok. If your argument is valid, Christianity will keep on growing everywhere. But we know that is not the case. Christianity is losing adherents.

You are wrong

In the vision, “the Lord” tells Ananias to “Get up and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul. At this moment he is praying, and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight” (Acts 9:11-12).

It has often been remarked that Paul clearly implied that he spent three years being taught by Jesus Himself (1:12), either directly or (perhaps more likely) through the study of the Word. Thus, like the other apostles, Paul studied with Christ for three years before beginning his ministry (compare Acts 1:21).
