Scripture readings for Christmas

(28-06-2025, 07:16 PM)pinkpanther Wrote:  Lksm is not wrong ..even Jesus emphasizes on faith..

In Luke 7:48-50, Jesus declares that a woman's sins are forgiven due to her faith, after she anoints his feet with oil

John, chapter 3, verse 16. It states: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

If you want salvation, keep the commandments, said Jesus.

Is that at odds with what LKSM said yesterday

Your friend LKSM, also understood Paul's teachings as such. Look at what he posted yesterday.

No, of course not.

Christians do that. Tithing law will be emphasized by the Church coz they want the money. Some others are optional.

I dunno. The Gospels in the NT are blurry.

But remember, faith is foremost. If you don't believe in God, it won't matter if you keep or discard the commandment.

So, why do you discard the commandments? I know the answer.

Why aren't male Christians circumcised?

You will quote Paul if you dare to answer that simple question.

It is a commandment, and it must be recited in the original language.

Shema Yisrael, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad

So why do you say you are keeping the commandment when you don't even do the most basic ones?

“For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.”

Where in the Bible does it says that we need to recite prayers in a different language?

When Adam stumbles, Allah forgives him when he repents. That is the Islamic paradigm.

In your paradigm, God is merciless. Not only does your God punish Adam when he stumbled, but he also punishes all of Adam's progeny for that small mistake Adam made.
