(Yesterday, 06:57 PM)Ali Imran Wrote: Of the Christians I've encountered there, one of them, is very knowledgeable. His nick is fsg316.
Other than that, most are clueless about Christianity and the Bible, like both of you.
The purpose of a debate is to challenge each other's beliefs and determine which one aligns more closely with the truth. What's the value of being knowledgeable if you can't identify the flaws in your opponent's faith?
In Oyk's very earliest post, he mentioned that Zed Master represents the Islamic community in EDMW, but we can all agree now that your understanding of Islam is only somewhat inadequate.

Additionally, both you and Hope have differing interpretations of the Quran.

(Yesterday, 07:11 PM)Ali Imran Wrote: I'm only telling you what you don't know.
You didn't know that the Trinity verse wasn't there originally, but added a few hundred years later, ergo a forgery. I was kind enough to tell you that. Instead of thanking me for telling you the truth, you got angry at me.
It is not a forgery...do you know why it is still included in the king James version?

call himself zed master so prideful not even a master but a liar

Bible scholars will not say the Bible is the word of God.
keep on lying its your only solution to trick us

Call it whatever you like. The original author of 1 John didn't write it. Someone else, a few hundred years later, added that verse.
If the Trinity verse was there from the very beginning, there would not be any need for the numerous ecumenical councils over a few hundred years to finally agree on the Trinity.

So says the one who doesn't even know that it wasn't the words of Paul.
And you're so arrogant to think you know better about Islam than all the Muslims.

If someone added it...does that mean he is falsifying the texts? The abundance of manuscripts supported the verse...whether it was taken out or a footnote was inserted shows you that we are transparent...we could have just leave the Trinity verses as it is

It means someone forged a verse to make it look like the author wrote it when the author didn't. But you don't like to call it a forgery, and I can understand why.

The Quran paraphrased it from the Bible....that is the main point

I never claim to say I know Islam ..how can ever know the words of God when there are so many interpretations...

Muslims know what we need to know. Allah made sure of that.
And yes, you claimed all the Muslims got it wrong, and you are right. That was some time ago.

How did Allah make sure what you need to know when you don have the commentary of Muhammad...to me it is equivalent to a lost book ..without Muhammad's interpretations..it is like a person who has lost his soul

When Allah says Allah is one, we all understand it.
When Allah says He begets not nor is He begotten, we all understand it.
And why are you so arrogant to say we don't have the comments of our Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم on the Quran?

Oh if you have the commentary of your prophet then there is no need for other scholars to add in their own interpretations isnt it...are they inspired by Allah? If they are inspired...why do they hold different views..
When Allah says He is one...that does not need any commentary..it is clear..Did Muhammad in the Shahada or in his prayers send blessings to himself?

the hadith (sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad) are essential for understanding and applying the Quran's teachings in daily life...
We do not believe the Hadiths because it came 300 years after the death of Muhammad and there are many fake Hadiths around....it is corrupted...so you cannot understand the Quran without an uncorrupted Hadith..
Muhammad says not to believe in any books that are altered lol
