PAP TEST Balloon, liao
Be Prepared when they deny and say no 10 million Population or GST rates
and accuse of making false allegations

USA and China are investing big on EV, not hydrogen!

Ammonia or NH3- which makes up largely hydrogen and nitrogen... and has zero carbon.
Exist as gas at normal temp is not flammable and smelly else, you will be poisoned without knowing its presence.
That makes it a good "raw" material for producing hydrogen - the foundation of fuel-cell power generation.

If hydrogen can reduce cost of living by 50% then it is worth considering taking the risk. ....

What is missing in the equation is the cost of producing the hydrogen. If it's very costly I'm not sure I'll be supportive of it. Clean energy is good but Singapore is too small to make a mark.

EV is just part of the electrification part of transport system. Difference is unlike most EV which rely on rare minerals used in lithium-battery cells, electric fuel cells just need hydrogen as fuel - which is far more abundant.
That is why the Chinese and US are looking for water on the Moon and Mars.
For real world e.g. Shell already testing hydrogen-based fuel cell ships in SG.

Wrong liao, Bro!
The production of ammonia from natural gas is conducted by reacting methane (natural gas) with steam and air, coupled with the subsequent removal of water and CO2. The products of this process are hydrogen and nitrogen, which are the feedstock for the main ammonia synthesis.

CAN HAPPEN IN OTHER COUNTRIES
BUY NEVER UNDER PAP

It has never been "cheap" to process and distribute in the energy market.
It took JTC decades and reclaimed entire Jurong Island to attract oil coy - it is a long term investment.
That is why today SG has one of the largest oil refinery in the world and a major distribution center - while we don't even have a single oil field !
Same strategic plan applies to future new energy market

Yes - there is close association between industrial production of ammonia and hydrogen.
However, the reason SG is involved in the former is for easier distribution of the later since transporting pure (liquefied super cold) H2 is more expensive and riskier . Kinda of like using exploiting proven production method and apply it to hydrogen-based energy market - end of the day future consumer like our children or grand children should have access to cheaper hydrogen-based energy.

Well, it's more efficient and economical to use electricity directly to run the car then!
