U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has revised his campaign promise to end the war in Ukraine within "24 hours," now suggesting a timeline of several months. 

Euro officials view this adjustment as an indication, his admin will not immediately withdraw support for Kyiv. Two European officials told Financial Times recent discussions with Trump’s incoming team revealed no concrete plan to resolve war yet. They also emphasized U.S. assistance aids to Ukraine would persist following Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20.

"The whole [Trump] team is obsessed with strength and looking strong, so they’re recalibrating the Ukraine approach," one official said. Official added Trump’s camp is cautious about avoiding comparisons with Joe Biden’s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, which they do not want to see replicated in Ukraine.

Earlier this week, Trump said a 6-month timeline was more realistic for ending war.

The Details: One of the two captured North Korean soldiers, as reported by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy & also from Ukraine's Security Service on 11 January, carried a military ID card bearing the name Antonin Aranchin, a Tyva native born in October 1998. 

The document reveals his birthplace (Turan, Tyva) civilian occupation (tailor). The military ID card does not include the holder's portrait, date, or signature.
