SINGAPORE - Three senior Workers' Party (WP) MPs had told their party colleague Raeesah Khan to stick to the lie she had told in Parliament on Aug 3, the Committee of Privileges heard this week.

Ms Khan and two other party members said she was told by WP chief and Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh, WP chairman Sylvia Lim and WP vice-chairman Faisal Manap at an Aug 8 meeting that there was no need for her to clarify herself or for the truth to be told.

Following that meeting, she texted her secretarial assistant and a WP volunteer: “I just met Pritam, Sylvia and Faisal... they’ve agreed that the best thing to do is to take the information to the grave.”

This portion of the testimony is very damaging to WP.

b. Not RK alone but all together three WP members including RK verified that RK was told by Pritam Singh, Sylvia Lim and Faisal Manap at an Aug 8 meeting that there was no need for her to clarify herself or for the truth to be  told.

Everybody in the group counts. Nobody is "extra"!

The interesting point is : for more than 2 months, WP leadership did not make any clarification. Neither did there take any action, until finally, RK was at the wall with no way to escape!

He is. He said he will not resign.

This is politics, what do you expect? Even within the pap, there are disagreements. But one thing good about the pap is they don't wash their dirty laundry in public. Maybe they took an oath not to .  Must be LKY strong discipline.
