Israeli media said a building had been struck and three people were killed in the missile strike on Beersheba.

Israel, joined by the US on the weekend, has carried out attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities, after alleging Tehran was getting close to obtaining a nuclear weapon. "On assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, 'THE 12 DAY WAR'," Trump wrote on his Truth Social site.

While Iranian official earlier confirmed that Tehran had agreed to a ceasefire, the country's foreign minister said there would be no cessation of hostilities unless Israel stopped its attacks.
Abbas Araqchi early on Tuesday said if Israel stopped its "illegal aggression" against Iranian people no later than 4am Tehran time (8.30am, Singapore time) on Tuesday today, Iran had no intention of continuing its response afterwards.


There have been no reported Israeli attacks on Iran since that time. "The final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be made later," Araqchi added in a post on X.

Governor’s office in Gilan says 33 were also injured in what it’s calling a “terrorist” attack on city of Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh. Iranian media reports say Israel was behind the attack.

PM Lawrence Wong is considering for the upcoming Cabinet reshuffle following S'pore’s recently concluded general election. Speaking to media on May 17, Mr Siow said: “PM is readying his Cabinet, he is building his team. I understand he has been speaking to various people in his team who would be taking up positions in the Cabinet. I am one of the people he has spoken to.” The MP for the GRC’s Brickland ward did not reveal which political office he is being considered for, saying these matters have yet to be finalised. We have to give it a bit of time. Its an important decision for (the) PM to form his team. But in discussions I have had, I am very happy he knows the experiences & the skills that I have.

He knows what I can contribute to his team, Mr Siow said at sidelines of a sustainability themed event outside Keat Hong Shopping Centre. Whatever role he thinks that I can play in his team, I will be very happy to contribute... I will give it my best,” he added.

SINGAPORE – Progress Singapore Party (PSP) founder & chairman Tan Cheng Bock & 1 of its former Non-Constituency MPs (NCMP) & vice-chair Hazel Poa have stepped down from its leadership body. Party treasurer S. Nallakaruppan has also stepped down from the Central Executive Committee (CEC), the party announced in a press release on July 5.
Dr Tan will be replaced as chairman by Mr A’bas Kasmani, who was previously second vice-chair.

Mr Anthony Neo will replace Mr Nallakaruppan as treasurer. Dr Tan, Ms Poa and Mr Nallakaruppan – who were unsuccessful candidates at the May general election – will remain members of the party, the PSP said. The CEC also co-opted three new members, all of whom also stood under the party banner in GE2025: Mr Sani Ismail, Mr Lawrence Pek and Ms Stephanie Tan. Mr Sani, a lawyer, was on the team contesting West Coast-Jurong West GRC, while Mr Pek, a former secretary-general of the S'pore Manufacturing Federation, contested Chua Chu Kang GRC. Ms Tan, a homemaker & former lawyer, ran in Pioneer – a single-seat constituency. All three lost their races to candidates from the ruling People’s Action Party. The trio have not taken on any specific positions on the CEC, which is the party’s highest decision-making body.

Changes also Dr Tan’s announcement after May 3 election, he retiring from politics. Dr Tan, a former presidential candidate & PAP MP, he founded party in 2019 & largely seen as face, alongside Ms Poa & secretary-general Leong Mun Wai, also Mr Sani, Mr Sumarleki Amjah, ran as part of PSP’s A-team in West Coast-Jurong West GRC. They lost to team led by Education Minister Desmond Lee. GRC was redrawn from old West Coast GRC, contains Dr Tan’s old ward Ayer Rajah SMC & produced the closest fight in 2020 General Election. This sent Ms Poa & Mr Leong into Parliament as NCMPs. In GE2025, party’s performance dropped significantly compared with its debut in 2020 election. This's the 2nd set of leadership changes party has made this year. In March 2025, a CEC election put in place team led party into the GE.
