A fatal car accident occurred on Dunian Road outside Tan Kah Kee MRT Station on Sunday (April 23) afternoon. A man was hit by a passing BMW car when he was suspected of crossing the road. The man soared into the air on the spot, and his body smashed through the two windshields at the front and rear of the car one after another and then fell to the ground. The car continued to drive for about 30 meters before stopping at the side of the road.
The fatal accident happened at around 2 pm on Sunday at (Dunearn Road) outside Tan Kah Kee MRT Station, heading towards the city.
When reporters from Lianhe Zaobao arrived at the scene, they saw six police cars parked at the scene, and the police also blocked the first lane on the right. A blue tent was also set up on the same driveway, believed to be where the dead body lay.
About 30 meters in front of the blue tent was a white BMW sedan parked. The hood of the car was dented, and a large hole was broken in the windshield directly in front of the driver's seat. The rear windshield was completely cracked. Police are searching the contents of the vehicle.
Before the incident, the BMW car was driving in the far right lane of the road, and there was a big ditch next to the driveway. Whether the deceased was going to cross the road to the big ditch, or came from the big ditch to cross the road, is subject to further investigation by the traffic police. According to eyewitnesses, the deceased smashed two windshields at the front and rear of the car and fell to the ground. The violent impact also caused one of his arms to be broken and fell to the road.
A female resident surnamed Liu (48 years old, a civil servant) said in an interview that when she and her husband were driving through the above-mentioned section of the road, they found that the police had instructed them to avoid the first lane on the right. arm, startling her.
She said that there are sidewalks not far from the front and back of this section of the road, and there is a large ditch on the right side of the driveway. I can't figure out why someone would cross the road in such a remote place.
A foreign maid who had a picnic in a small park next to the subway station said that she heard a loud noise when the incident happened, and she didn't know about the serious car accident until she saw a police car and at least two ambulances arriving.
When responding, the Civil Defense Force confirmed that one person was pronounced dead at the scene, the other was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and the two children were sent to KK Women's and Children's Hospital for treatment.
"Lianhe Zaobao" is currently seeking details with the Singapore Police Force.

There is the Bt Timah Canal on the right and there isn't any pedestrian bridge across it, so I guess likely a suicide.
The guy must have jumped onto lane 1 when the BMW was still speeding for an impact so strong that severed his arm.

One side of the road are landed houses, the other side is impassable, blocked by rochor river. Why crossed the road there?

There is a pedestrian overhead bridge nearby. Seems the decease was jaywalking and ran out of luck trying to cross from the centra..
Dunearn Road is a 70kph straight road with few traffic lights...so vehicles often can easily do near-expressway speed..more so on the right-most lane - which was where the body-meet the BMW head-on.
It could easily be more fatality if the driver is in the way of the body that apprently flew through the vehicle interior...

I once caught a glimpse of a pedestrian being hit by a car traveling at an estimated 50 km/h, and the collision emitted a loud bang and not the missile-kind of explosion I saw in the movie. In a separate incident, I’d heard but not seen someone hitting the ground with a heavy thud. At what height I have no idea. Moments later, as a crowd began to gather on the sidewalk it then dawned on me that the person had fallen from a great height, judging from the loud clunk and blood oozing from the poor sod and it made me feel like throwing up.
Experts have drawn a parallel between a 10th-floor fall’s impact on the body and the impact on a pedestrian smashed by a car traveling at 70 km/h. In other words, being hit by a car at the said speed has the same effect or is almost as bad as falling from a height of 10 stories.

Not possible
Eye witness is similar to those eye witnesses of WTC 911, where they see planes hitting the WTC
There are 2 kids in the BMW and the seats have backrest, so how is it even possible for someone to crash through the interior of it??
