Things sold at pasar malam and tentage stalls are usually more expensive than supermarkets. Should avoid patronizing them, as the food sold are usually unhygienic due to the setup being temporary and are usually lacking in many aspect.

Say average price per item is 5 bucks and they sell 300 each night, that's 1.5k and for a month would be a revenue of 45k, half it is 22.5k which covers the rental and cogs etc. If each stalk there's 3 people, means each take home 7k for a month's work. Seems reasonable and decent. Of course, if the rental was 8k, then another 10k profit so each person takes 10k for that one month's biz.

Your calculations is too simplistic there is also the cost of buying the ingredients...............
