The press release noted "Ukraine will use funding from Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway for this purchase," was also confirmed by Yermak on social media.
Earlier in July, the U.S. & North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) reached an agreement for alliance members to purchase American weapons through Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative.
Since beginning of August, NATO allies such as Canada, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden have committed to funding PURL packages for Ukraine. International military support remains critical for Kyiv, as Russian continues to attack Ukrainian civilian targets on a regular basis.

On August 22nd, 2025, near Kurakhove, world witnessed one of the most brutal clashes of war. Russia Attacks Ukraine with 45 Tanks – Kurakhove Turns to Fire, within 36 hours, offensive collapsed and over 650 Russian soldiers were lost what became known as Kurakhove Massacre. Ukraine’s elastic defense—kill zones, Stugna-P, Javelin missiles, Leopard 2A6 tanks, and swarms of FPV drones—proved devastating. Decisive moment came when HIMARS, guided by reconnaissance drones, obliterated Russian command posts, leaving enemy forces blind & leaderless. The Ukrainian counterstrike then crushed the retreat. This battle redefined modern warfare, proving that networks, drones, and precision coordination now outweigh sheer numbers on the battlefield.

Ukraine, together with international partners — particular United Kingdom & U.S — has developed a strategic vision for the return of all temporarily occupied territories, including the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. First Deputy Defense Minister Ivan Havryliuk announced this during Fourth International Forum of the Expert Network of the Crimea Platform, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We have directions, we have a vision of how to return all temporarily occupied territories back to Ukraine. Together with our partners — the British and the Americans — we conducted a series of ‘war games’ where different scenarios were modeled, and we now have a 10–15-year outlook on where to move and how to develop.”
Havryliuk said. He also commented on situation on Black Sea: “Regarding superiority in the Black Sea — let’s stay grounded and be realistic. Superiority in the Black Sea must be achieved and maintained.” Havryliuk added that Crimea has now been turned into a powerful Russian military base with a high concentration of troops.

US approves $825 million military sale to Ukraine for ERAM missiles. U.S Dept of State approved a military sale to Ukraine for Extended Range Attack Munition (ERAM) missiles worth estimated $825 million, Aug. 28. "Up to 3,350 ERAM missiles and 3,350 navigation modules to counter Putin army," Presidential Office Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak wrote & confirming deal. Official State Dept National Security objectives of U.S. by improving security of a partner country "sale will improve Ukraine's capability to meet current & future threats by further equipping in it self-defense and security missions."
The ops began with Ukrainian special operations forces clearing out Russian infiltrators in settlement of Andriivka-Klevtsove, raising flag of their unit & laying groundwork for following ops. Ukrainian forces next targeted Russian positions along approach to Tolstoy, with FPV drones & artillery softening up Russian defenses restricting Russian maneuverability. Then, assault units advanced from south clearing village in close combat, under command of Fifth Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade. Immediately Ukrainian troops advanced northward and eastward, recapturing near by settlement of Zelenyi Hai. Footage shows Ukrainian marines raising national flag there, indicating full control suggested Russian forces either withdrew under pressure or were neutralized during the clearing phase. Here attack continued toward Piddubne & Novokhatske & fighting is still ongoing, Ukrainian drone teams has been eliminating Russian infantry targeting ammunition caches near Zirka and Tovste, two villages just behind initial line. Strikes intent not only to disrupt current Russian positions but to reduce their ability to counterattack & coordination across units indicates presence of a broader operational plan to regain control over sector & impose attrition on Russian battalions through sustained small-unit maneuvers.
Overall, Ukraine’s counterattack in western Donetsk demo how limited offensive action, based on precise reconnaissance & strong tactical planning, yield meaningful battlefield shifts without requiring a large-scale breakthrough exploiting weaknesses in Russian training, unit cohesion, drone denial capabilities, Ukrainian forces...

Kremlin is in a death spiral, turning on itself in explosive internal crisis far worse than any battlefield setback. Kyiv national security strategist Jason Jay Smart said
according to him, isn't just military failure for Putin but a vicious civil war erupting within security & military factions of the Russian govt. “A new phase war unfolding in Moscow, state security service is directly at war with the military internal conflict is a direct result of Russia's failing war effort and a shrinking budget, which starves the front lines and corrupt systems that fund the regime. Fighting between FSB & Russia military is intensifying. Both sides have damaging info on the other. This deep-seated corruption, centralized and controlled by Vladimir Putin, is now devouring his own regime from the inside out. As Russia's economy in freefall, even major state enterprises can't pay their staff. Putin himself seems unaware of the true gravity of this internal struggle, which is far more dangerous to his rule than any external enemy. The corruption served him is becoming the very weapon lead to end of the Putin regime”, said Jason Jay Smart.

Since Moscow’s full-scale war in Ukraine, officers Russia’s Federal Security Service have killed at least 65 people during arrest ops in Russia & 4 more in occupied part of Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, according to journalists. At least 44 of those killed in Russia were Russian citizens. 9 identified by FSB as nationals of unspecified Central Asian countries, two were Kazakhstani citizens, 1 Ukrainian, & 1 Belarusian.

according to him, isn't just military failure for Putin but a vicious civil war erupting within security & military factions of the Russian govt. Russians moving methodically to high levels of aggression, Ukrainians cleared out even pockets of Russian resistance, but finally Ukrainian take some prisoners of war as many refuse to surrender or try to try, but their bridge commander seek to link back up with their cut off forces in Dobropillia spearhead, hoping to salvage situation or exploit breakthrough behind Ukrainian lines. However, as the Azov army corps wasted no time, the encircled Russian forces were already being destroyed, as two of Ukraine’s most effective drone & ground units worked together to defeat Russian hoard as they approaching from the south.
After the Azov corps redeployed and executed a pincer maneuver on the Russian spearhead toward Dobropillia, a large number of Russian soldiers had been driven out of the Ukrainian New Donbas Defense Line and encircled. The 93rd mechanized brigade shared footage of how they were cleaning up scattered remnants of Russian soldiers, using tight drone surveillance and strikes to prevent them from moving out in the open, before dealing with the now isolated pockets one by one. After Russian soldiers were forced into hiding, they conducted a concentrated barrage with Grad artillery systems integrated into the brigade’s fire support network; the aim was to target the most concentrated pockets of Russian forces and saturate them as much as possible before a ground assault was made possible. The unit even shared footage of a ground drone mounted with a high-caliber machine gun driving through the streets after Russians were forced inside, firing into buildings where drones had detected a Russian presence.

A major Russian flanking ops collapsed under pressure, leaving their forces overextended and vulnerable across a critical stretch. With the opportunity door opened, Ukrainian troops immediately took initiative & launched a decisive attack to seize another town. As reported last time, Ukrainian troops had successfully retaken Ridkodub using drone reconnaissance and maneuver warfare to penetrate Russian defenses. Their goals were not just to capture ground, but to disrupt Russian attempts to reestablish control in this exposed corner of the Donetsk region. In response, Russian forces attempted to outflank the Ukrainian troops, designed to bypass the new Ukrainian positions and strike their rear. Russian troops were deployed from multiple directions, namely from the west of Zelena Dolyna and from the south, with the intention of undermining Ukraine’s hold on Ridkodub. But the plan had several fatal flaws, because the distance between Russian staging areas and Ukrainian positions meant that the attacking units had to cross long stretches of open terrain. Worse, the lack of forested cover and the extensive Ukrainian drone presence made concealment virtually impossible.
By the time Russian infantry began advancing, their movement had already been detected. Ukrainian FPV drones and munition drops intercepted the assault columns before they reached the contact line. Multiple video footages show infantry stranded in open fields being eliminated one by one. Other groups tried to crawl forward under sporadic artillery support, but persistent drone observation made progress impossible, and Ukrainian fire control dismantled the flanking effort before it could get close. In the previous operation, Ukrainian commanders had noted that Russia’s local reserves respond slowly to changes in frontline dynamics, sometimes taking days to adapt. That delay proved decisive because Ukrainian forces had already consolidated their control over Ridkodub and anticipated the counterattack, so when it came, they were fully prepared, inflicting heavy Russian losses for no territorial gain. Since the Russian push failed, many attackers were killed before reaching Ukrainian lines, leaving the Russian frontlines undermanned, overstretched, and tactically exposed. Many of the soldiers involved were likely wounded during the failed assault, and because of Ukraine’s persistent fire control in the area, evacuation was nearly impossible. It is already difficult for Russian units to rotate fresh troops into this zone without taking losses; doing so with wounded troops under pressure makes restoring control over the front even harder.
That is why Ukrainian forces immediately seized the opportunity, and units from the Third Army Corps launched a coordinated assault on Novomykhailivka. The push targeted exposed flanks left vulnerable after the failed Russian counterattacks at Ridkodub. Ukrainian drones were first used to clear out forward Russian positions and mark artillery targets, softening the defenses before the main attack. The armored column then moved in from two sides, avoiding main roads and using minor treelines for cover as it approached the town perimeter. Once inside Novomykhailivka, the assault accelerated. Bradleys and lighter vehicles advanced block by block, while infantry squads flushed out Russian groups hiding in damaged homes and treelines. Dozens of guided drone strikes struck entrenched Russian positions in the lead-up, and radio intercepts indicate the garrison had already requested reinforcements before the assault began. Combat footage shows Ukrainian troops pushing through the town under drone cover, with Russian defenders unable to establish a coordinated response. The fighting lasted only a few hours, and by the end, at least one full Russian company had been neutralized. With the town secured, Ukrainian forces pressed further south, widening the breach. Russian command was forced to pull reserves from neighboring sectors, weakening their grip on adjacent parts of the line. Overall, what makes this operation significant is not just the ground retaken, but the precision and tempo with which it was done. Ukraine is no longer waiting for Russian. offensives to stall; they are disrupting them in real time, striking as soon as units overextend. Russian formations remain overstretched and reactive, and each failed push leaves another opening. Novomykhailivka shows that Ukraine is not just holding its line; it is setting the pace and choosing where the next collapse will happen.

Russia’s push on Pokrovsk, crumbled once again. A mechanized column advancing deep behind front was spotted, targeted, & annihilated with a coordinated HIMARS ambush &precision drone strikes, the result: destroyed vehicles, heavy losses, another failed attempt to breach Ukraine’s defenses around this key city. Pokrovsk remains a fortress, Russia’s costly assaults continue to collapse.
