I remember the story my brother in law, who lived in Hougang with his parents and brothers for many years
After Hougang fell to WP
The PAPpies closed its offices and left the residents with no approach to the government
Soon, one by one the wet markets and old food market were closed down in the name of hygiene
No upgrading for years, even it’s the duty of HDB
YET EVERY ELECTION SINCE, THE CITIZENS OF HOUGANG VOTED IN THE WP

HAVE THEIR LIVES BEEN DESTROYED OR WORST OFF?

Wonder what it is like if Hougang were to secede and becomes a separate nation?

Every citizens hv freedom of votes. Don't feel threatened just becos deprive of amenities. This happened to Chiam See Tong ward too. I stands up for Aljunued and Hougang citizens who hv the back bone to continue their support for WP. I detest those big bullies who stoop so low. When I was staying in Hougang, I voted for WP. In Queenstown, I wil do the same to support Oppositions.
