Wine has rich symbolism in biblical texts. It is often associated with joy, celebration, and abundance.... The miracle at the wedding signified the joy of the occasion and the idea that Jesus brings fullness and generosity to life.....What do you expect Jesus to churn out? Pepsi and Milo? 

Even your prophet permitted wine in his earlier years until he witnessed the consequences of excessive consumption...

Islam didn’t allow wine/Alcohol.It was prohibited slowly at the beginning of the few years, after prayer became mandatory.Later it was made 
haram .
