The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament was written in Greek lah!  That was the original Bible lah! We read English because of translations lah! Just like you are a Chinese so you translate your language to English lah!

Yes lah..that's why we say Shalom or peace be with you lah.....it is the same as osama maleikum lah   we follow the language we are comfortable with lah...we don pretend to be Israelites or Arabians tiok boh
