That Hadith you quoted earlier, have been rejected as weak by Sunan Abu Dawood.

But even so, we need to be clear what was being put infront of the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم, like which book they placed there. 

When the Quran states, clearly, that they wrote verses with their own hand, and claim it is divine, what do you expect us to say except to say they have corrupted the scripture, the Torah.

Even Jeremiah 8:8 confirms the corruption, citing the "scribes with the lying pen".

Nowhere in the Qurab will you find a verse where it says the Torah and Gospel got corrupted and this belief started rising among muslims when they started reading the Torah and Gospel and how it contradicted the Quran.

Muhammad and the early muslims never believed that the Scriptures of the Jews and Christians got corrupted and the Quran always speaks very highly about the Torah and Gospel:


Say: "O People of the Book! Ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord" (5:71).

How can the Jew or Christian, stand fast by the Law and the Gospel, if the Law and the Gospel have been corrupted or abrogated?
