Giving money to your wife is considered a good deed? It's more of a responsibility, lah... Usually, wealthy Arabs can afford to be charitable, but often the recipients end up getting a small faction

Charity is beyond responsibility. We are talking about charity. So yes, giving money to my wife is a good deed when done in obedience to Allah.

Local Muslims here are very charitable. We are not rich Arabs.
