No, Jesus did not follow the moon for his religious teachings. While the Jewish calendar, used during Jesus' time, was based on the lunar cycle, Jesus' teachings centered on God's love, forgiveness, and the Kingdom of Heaven, not on the phases of the moon. The moon's cycles were relevant in determining the timing of Jewish festivals, but the core of Jesus' message was spiritual, not astronomical. 

Jesus would get up in the morning for his religious obligations, just like the Muslims. I too must get up before dawn for my religious obligations.
