Explosion Aug. 26 started a fire at Ryazan-Moscow oil pipeline, a key petroleum product supply route to Russian capital, Local media reported a powerful fire near the village of Bozhatkovo on outskirts of Ryazan on evening Aug. 26, emergency services, crews reportedly deployed to contain blaze and damage. Russian Telegram channels claimed that a loud blast could be heard at section main pipeline. 
Result of "powerful explosion, transportation of petroleum to Moscow (via pipeline) has been suspended indefinitely," HUR source claimed on Aug. 27. Since 2018, pipeline has been repurposed by Transneft, a state-run pipeline to supply automobile gasoline to Moscow stop. Source company supplies fuel to Russian military temporary stop. Transneft regional officials can't publicly commented on fire or possible causes. Transneft is currently assessing damage. Kyiv Independent can't verify. Ryazan lies roughly 180 km (120 miles) from Moscow, 500 km (300 miles) from Ukraine border. Ukrainian forces repeatedly target Russian energy infrastructure by sabotage drone strikes throughout full-scale war, aiming to undermine Moscow's gas & oil revenues.
