The ops began with Ukrainian special operations forces clearing out Russian infiltrators in settlement of Andriivka-Klevtsove, raising flag of their unit & laying groundwork for following ops. Ukrainian forces next targeted Russian positions along approach to Tolstoy, with FPV drones & artillery softening up Russian defenses restricting Russian maneuverability. Then, assault units advanced from south clearing village in close combat, under command of Fifth Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade. Immediately Ukrainian troops advanced northward and eastward, recapturing near by settlement of Zelenyi Hai. Footage shows Ukrainian marines raising national flag there, indicating full control suggested Russian forces either withdrew under pressure or were neutralized during the clearing phase. Here attack continued toward Piddubne & Novokhatske & fighting is still ongoing, Ukrainian drone teams has been eliminating Russian infantry targeting ammunition caches near Zirka and Tovste, two villages just behind initial line. Strikes  intent not only to disrupt current Russian positions but to reduce their ability to counterattack & coordination across units indicates presence of a broader operational plan to regain control over sector & impose attrition on Russian battalions through sustained small-unit maneuvers.
