Russia seeks to ramp up offensive near Izyum, says UK intelligence

Russian troops are attempting to intensify their offensive near the eastern Kharkiv Oblast town of Izyum, the UK Defense Ministry said in its daily intelligence update on Twitter on June 27.

“While Russia’s main operational focus remains the Severodonetsk-Lysychansk pocket, a week of consistently heavy shelling suggests 

Russia is now trying to regain momentum on the northern Izyum axis,” the ministry said.
