Broader immune respone is very logical to me. It is like you are teaching a young kid who has never seen a rambutan. You can cut out the rambutan "hairs" (like the protein spikes of the covid virus) and tell him to use them to recognise the fruit

But inactivated virus vaccine yields a lower antibody response, so one should always wear a mask to reduce the virus intake to allow time for the immune system to warm up to fight the viruses that replicates (exponentially?) within the body.
