Quite close now, slightly more than  US$2,000 to go GNI per capital wise. Possible in 3 years.

They get it close in 2012 but currency depreciation/commodity price falls foil their goal.
They need a few high value products/services that are more stable to break through.

But have to say, some developed countries technically less competence than My.
They did not produce cars, electronics and knowledge good or services
so developed status is judge solely by wage.
