Russia's adapting to newer air defenses means Ukraine's newest F-16s is old & is the latest example of weapons that are 'no longer relevant:' senior Ukrainian officer. They, Ukrainian officer told Politico of his doubts about usefulness of incoming F-16s saying Russia has already been preparing the battlefield against NATO and U.S. aircraft by longer range-finding as far as Ukraine is concerned 

This's one of the many, it's a very good example of how the west treated Ukraine who often receives weapons systems too late. From Politico news.

US has authorized Denmark, Norway, and the Netherlands to transfer 65 F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets to Ukraine. Foreign Affairs Committee from US House of Representatives has a series of notifications on Feb proposing upto 65 F-16A/B  jets from Denmark, Norway, and the Netherlands to Ukraine. Despite mentioning countries their intention to donate the aircraft, the estimated cost initiatives about USD 1.683.5 bil, includ spare engines, simulators, manuals, tools, and various materials for operatting & sustaining F-16s.

From summary, it revealed Denmark will make available six F-16 Block 10, thirteen F-16 Block 15 aircraft, additional engines, & equipment valued at USD 87.5 million worth noting Danish not only one of the promoters of initiative to provide F-16s to Ukraine but also one of the few countries training pilots and technical personnel.

Regarding Danish F-16s, the Argentina Defense Ministers & Nordic country recently signed a letter of intent to purchase 24 F-16A/B MLU aircraft, an acquisition process is expected to be formalized in coming weeks with signing of a contract. Royal Danish Air Force upgraded a total of 61 F-16A/B aircraft to MLU standard, reducing to about 44 aircraft a few years ago & is replaced by 5th next F-35A Lightning II fighters.

For Norway, transfer is up to 22 F-16 Block 10/15 aircraft, engines, equipment, test benches, tools, maintenance materials, simulators, spare parts, manuals, & technical doc's, among others, original value is about USD 1.326 bil has made available with a couple of F-16s for training Ukrainian crews, for forming a core group of instructors to support the Danish effort.

Finally, Dutch discussing, mentions 24 F-16 Block 10/15 aircraft as similar supplementary materials to Norway. So Dutch initiative involved transfer 18 fighters number would be expanded after decision to cancel sale of 6-aircraft to company name Draken. 

Netherlands been another major proponent of the project to deliver F-16 fighters to the Ukrainian Air Force. In early mths, the Dutch was willing to transfer its F-16s to 3rd parties in order to release combat aircraft of Soviet origin, initiative did not come to life, a first step for the project of the previously mentioned European countries.

It's necessary to remember the idea of transferring F-16s to Ukraine did't have approval from U.S.A., Washington, It was plan that matured over time till it received green light, US has only committed to training Ukrainian personnel, leaving aside any intention related to the delivery of aircraft.
