Why do you keep asking questions if you are not interested in our answers. Already Ephesians 5 says that husbands and wives must submit to one another, 

Is that a modern understanding of Ephesians 5? How did the Christians of the 14th century understand it? I'm sure you know a bit of the history of England or France in that century and how wives were at that time.
