There has been an increase in drink-driving accidents from 175 in 2022 to 180 last year in SG. The number of deaths from drink-driving accidents also saw a marginal increase from 10 in 2022 to 11 in 2023. The penalties have to be stricter before SG becomes like the US where drunken drivers cause mayhem on their roads, resulting in death and serious injuries.
