1250 - 1370

"Well the Mongols did invade India, just not under Genghis Khan. Like Mahmud of Ghazni, Mohammed Ghori and Alexander, they crossed the Hindukush into India."

Genghis Khan didn't make it into India.

In 13th century, "India" never existed...The region was actually part of the sub-continent under a Islamic sultanate ruled by Alauddin Khilji, who was a Sunni Muslim....
Scythian is another lazy Aussie who isn't bother with checking "Indian" History details. Big Grin

It is quite confusing.
I have read before that Britain ruled India for about 200 years till 1947.
So before that, was India a nation like it is now?
Or was it made up of many separate nations before that?
Any expert? Thanks.

I am no "India expert".

But I know many SGtalkers are more knowledgeable as another National Rape Crime headline that South Asian Country...even pro-CECA Straits Time cannot ignore it, again.

"Indians" are proud pple - That is understandable.

What I don't understand is why the same "proud" pple love to migrate to other countries where it is increasingly less welcoming

This is not just another "history" but a FACT today. Big Grin
