It is wrong to be gay

(19-03-2024, 12:35 AM)Lukongsimi Wrote:  ”And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him. But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.“

Think about it. If Jesus had said that to the disciples, why would the disciples take the news of the risen Jesus as ridiculous? Wouldn't they be expecting it at the very least? We cannot find the answer to that mystery. So, I will mark that verse as suspicious because it doesn't fit the story. Also, the sign of Jonah. If Jesus had said that, why the disciples wasn't expecting Jesus to rise again after they thought he had died? On top of that, in one Gospel, Jesus said "No sign will be given" and he walked away. In another, Jesus gave a sign, the sign of Jonah. The 2 Gospels contradict each other so which one is true?

Even so, Jesus didn't say he would die for your sins. He just said he would be killed.

Did Jesus die for your sins or wounded for your sins?

And did Jesus open his mouth at the crucifixion? Yes, according to one Gospel. He cried loudly, "Ilahi Ilahi lama sabachtani".

I'd rather you use your own words, not point me to an anti-Islam website and ask me to address all of that. That's called doing a red herring.

Let's take one. You look at it, briefly study it, and we discuss it. That way, you will be able to learn.

Why can't the Christians be nice and civil in this discourse? Why must be nasty and abusive?

No one need to die for my sins. Either I will be punished for my sins deservedly, or God will forgive me of my sins. I must accept responsibility for my own doings.

Ok. You're not interested. Fine.

If you can just prove 1 mistake in the Quran, I will say the Quran is not from God.

If you have just an ounce of honor in you, you must retract and apologize. But yeah, when pigs fly.

No, it doesn't say that. Would you like a detailed scholarly explanation? Or would you like a 15-min video that would explain it?

The Quran is the reason why many intellectuals are converting to Islam. Yes, converts to Islam will usually tell you they did a detailed study of the Quran before converting.

When you say Jesus is not our God, are you not spreading lies...are you not guilty of creating a rift with what we believe? This is a forum for us to share our opinions. I didn't ask you to retract your statement and apologise and neither can you ask others to do so Big Grin

I didn't say Jesus is not your God. I have no right to say that. All I'm saying is I don't believe Jesus is God and I can give arguments aplenty, which is what I have been doing here lately.

This is about faith. You believe and I don't believe. I'm not spreading lies if I say I don't believe Jesus is God.

You have said lies about our prophet. I have no problem if you don't believe he was a prophet. But don't worry, I'm not gonna burst a blood vessel for what you've written. I've been doing this for more than a decade already and I've developed callous. But nonetheless, you did spread lies.

I am not a ulama and I don know the qu'ran in depth but if my opinions has somehow hurt you in any ways, I apologise. I am respectful of your religion and I hope you are respectful to other religions as well. Do not sow doubts in the mind of people. It is a sin.

No, the Quran did not say that. You've been misled. You conflate the gushing fluid and the emergence of the baby from the mother's womb placed between the backbone and the ribs. One describes the male ejaculation and the other describes the womb.

Doctors are amazed at the accuracy of the embryonic phases mentioned in the Quran.

Man, you suddenly gained my respect, more than before.

Yes, I have been arguing about faith and religion, much to the chagrin of the Christians. There is no easy way to do this and I am careful with my words. I can only do this in a respectful and non-confrontational manner because God demands it of me. But I must tell you the truth and spread the good news. I want you to be successful in this world and more importantly, in the hereafter. I am sincere in wanting that.

While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” -John 9:5

Darkness, in John 8:12, is the Greek word skotia, defined as the darkness due to the want of light and used to describe ignorance of divine things. It’s associated with wickedness, and the resultant misery in hell. Genesis 1:4 says, “God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.” Jesus is the Light of the world, and all who are separate or far from Him live in darkness. Being separate, ignorant, or unaware of the dark leaves us wanting for something we cannot produce on our own. We come to the end of ourselves in frustration, hopelessness, or an aloof sense of happiness and joy, when we traverse through life in darkness. With Christ, we have the absolute fullness of life.

Yes, Jesus brought light and that is why it hurts the people who were living in darkness.

Do you know why the book of John is not the same as the rest of the 3 synoptic gospels? The first thing you need to know is the period when the gospels were written. The first to be written is Mark, followed by Matthew and Luke, and the last to be written is John.

The apparent Christology can be seen from one Gospel to another and eventually, in the gospel according to John, the elevation of Jesus became complete. Jesus became God in the book of John. All the sayings of Jesus which can be construed as him claiming to be divine can only be found in the John.

Again, it wasn't me who made these studies. I got all that from Bible scholars. I have spent countless hours watching Christian videos on Bible scholarship from the likes of Dr. Daniel Wallace.
