Scripture readings for Christmas

(15-02-2025, 01:27 AM)S I M T A N Wrote:  You are right, brother. The Bible says that when we go to be with the Lord, we'll have to account for every careless word we have spoken (Matt 12:36-37). We pay for them here on earth also. I believe the price is too high to pay for something that can easily be controlled by our own will. We can speak love, joy, and peace into our world, or we can speak strife, hatred, deception, a couple of swear words or rattle off a string of four-letter words.

The best way to improve speech is to improve the heart. "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" (Matt 12:34). A heart filled with the Holy Spirit and the truth of God's Word will produce godly speech that brings life to the speaker as well as to the listener. God has promised "whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles" (Proverbs 21:23; 12:18).

Yes, we're to be careful with our choice of words when sharing the exclusive gospel - salvation through Christ alone - with non-Christians. Besides, we must be willing to fight to uphold this and other core doctrines, the way PP and LKSM have done tenaciously and indefatigably.

I do get upset at times, do you? Anyone with any gumption gets upset occasionally. But the Word of God says, "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil" (Eph 4:26-27) There's a world of difference between getting upset and holding a grudge. We can disagree with someone, and we can disagree agreeably. There are certain things in the Word of God that allow room for differences of opinion, and not everyone is going to see eye-to-eye on everything. We can disagree on certain issues. However, we aren't going to hold a grudge against someone just because he doesn't feel the same way we do.

Humans do get angry when offended
Out of the heart the mouth speaks
The heart of man is wicked
What goes in the mouth is clean
That is why we need to pray for forgiveness everyday

Ephesians 6:12

King James Version

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Correct
In Bible Jesus usually said “your sin is forgiven” He is the only saviour
You can’t find this verse in other religion

I rather lost a fren then lost them in hell the eternal trapped tormenting  place
If never warned them the sin will be upon our head
If warned them their sin is upon their head if they refuse to believe

Is there a difference between "your sin is forgiven" and "I forgive your sin"?

We can simply believe in God without needing proof like Islam and all other religions...

But christianity has a unique aspect - the role of the Holy Spirit. Jesus emphasized the importance of the Holy Spirit as a means of direct communication with God, suggesting that it's not just a matter of blind faith. By sending the Holy Spirit, Jesus aimed to demonstrate God's existence and provide a personal, tangible connection between God and humanity.

Jesus could have just come up with only a father and son relationship with God without mentioning The Holy Spirit and we can don even require any evidences of His existent...That would be easier for believers to accept isn't it?
Now this is distinct from other faiths, where faith in God is often a more abstract concept.

The ability to speak in tongues is one of many potential spiritual gifts given to Christians by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:4-11). Every Christian is given one or more spiritual gifts.

Do you think both your comment and Bible verse are the same meaning?

Allah never mentions he helps only Muslim like your bible.

Allah claims he created the humanity , taught how to write , speak and dress ,giving wisdom and intellect, providing sustenance.

As per your Bible verse only Christian can speak 😂 very funny 😄

When can you win?

Last 1400 years you could not win. Do you think you can win with in next 1400 years?

53% Africa are Muslim

33% of Asia are Muslims ( other 66% are Hindu and Buddhist)

5% of Europe and America are Muslims.200 years ago how many Muslims were there? With in next 200 years?

Do you still believe Christianity can win?

As per Islamic narrations, When Jesus come back,He will live as a Muslim in Levant .How can Christianity win when the main figure is not following your teachings?

Quran has prophesied this 1400 years ago.

“He is the One Who has sent His Messenger with ˹true˺ guidance and the religion of truth, making it prevail over all others, even to the dismay of the polytheists.”Quran 9:33

Things are not in favour of Christianity.

-All the colonial masters who spreaded Christianity are no longer the guardians of Christianity

-Translation of the Quran to many languages help non Muslim to read and accept Islam. Most of the Quran are given free of charge

- Invention of the Internet help Muslim to reach out to non Muslim and Non Muslim to  search their own

-Migration of Muslim to western countries

- Invention of AI ( chatGpt)

- emergence of Islamic scholars and apologists in every language

- Palestine and Israel conflict led many people to search

-Terrorism and Islamophobia led many people to search

-As per Islamic narrations, Jesus will be living as a Muslim in Levant when he comes back. This will be a showdown. If he doesn’t want to follow your religion, Will you reject him or your religion?

I do sin at times, and when that happens I'll ask for God's forgiveness. I'll also ask God to search my heart for any hidden or unconfessed sin that may impede my relationship with Him. I know God approves of us and loves us, and has provided forgiveness and cleansing for us, available for the asking. (1John 2:1) God does not refer to us in Scripture as sinners but saints who can choose to sin. Obviously, Christian maturity is a factor in our ability to stand against temptation.

I think you made a sincere effort to answer Ali's question, keeping your answer short and simple. I must say you are an uncomplicated and straightforward person of few words.

When Jesus like a lamb was being led to slaughter (on the cross), the Bible says He opened not His mouth. This is very significant because to me it indicates Jesus realized He was better off to be quiet than to say the wrong thing. He knew the power of words.

For keyboard warrior on both sides of the theological divide, there's no such thing as friendship; brinkmanship is very much the order of the day. Demolishing other's faith is the only thing that matters, and nothing else matters.

Ali is an old hand in the cut and thrust of theological debate, with decades of experience under his belt. In other forums, he outlasted his Christian interlocutors with his dogged persistence in asserting his beliefs and opinions that did not agree with the foundational beliefs of Christianity.

He rarely yielded the point to his interlocutors, however convincing their arguments. Worn out by his relentless assaults on their sacredly-held beliefs and endless questioning, they disengaged from discussion one by one, leaving him the last man standing and having the final say. This time Ali has met his match right here. Smile

What if I only believe the teachings of prophets like Ezekiel, Isaiah, Moses, or Jesus? Peace be upon them. But I reject the teachings of Paul.

Will I get salvation?

They are not my beliefs. My arguments here are based on your scriptures. I don't believe nor disbelieve your scriptures. I don't interpret them. I quote them as they are written. You cannot tell me James didn't oppose Paul when the text clearly shows that. James' arguments in James 2 were against the notion of sola fide.

If you say James and Paul were on the same page, you're being intellectually dishonest.

The goal is not to win a debate, but to provide honest and unbiased answers, untainted by personal agendas like friendship Big Grin ....when you go on a mission trip... it's relatively simple to share your beliefs with children, who often don't have a pre-existing understanding or biases, the situation only changes when interacting with a more educated and hostile adult audience.... Big Grin Expect to be bombarded with challenging questions, often delivered with a dismissive or confrontational tone...You'll need to quickly formulate answers  Big Grin and we are preparing you for this! Lol

Anyway..where are you going..,hope you make more disciples...don't come back and become a companion of a certain religion can already Big Grin
