Jesus practiced a religion while he was here. So why are you against religious practice?

That's a new question, never asked you before.

If you're a mother, you should want your son to be a Muslim. I gave you the reason earlier. I am a son and I know how I treat my mother. You always talk about testimonies, and now, for the first time, I will give you my testimony as a Muslim. I will tell you how I took care of my aged mother. She passed away in Sept last year. You want to hear testimonies from Muslims, right? She was my number 1 priority, above my wife. My mother suffered from Alzheimer's disease and towards the last year of her life, it got worst. She would ask me a question, and after 5 minutes, she asked the same question. My sisters all couldn't take it because it was irritating. As for me, I will keep answering her gently over and over again. "Anak Zed enam mak", to her question "Anak kau berapa?".

If I make my mother angry, God will be angry at me and I don't want God to be angry at me.

That is my testimony. It is not a feeling or a dream. It is real.

My testimonies was  about encounter with Christ n yours was about human so much difference

When the early followers of Jesus were thrown into the arena with lions, they too suffered tremendously, being eaten alive by lions. Are you gonna ask the same question about the whereabout of God then?
Don’t anyhow guess Jesus disciples thrown into the lion den and were eaten up
No such thing !
It was Daniel who was thrown into the lion den by king darius but was unhurt

In the early days, before the Romans adopted Christianity, the Christians were persecuted because they refused to participate in the Romans' pagan religious practices.

Also, remember Nero? He blamed the Christians for something and because of that, the Christians were persecuted.

“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day. Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee. And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his Lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel. Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him. Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt. Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.”

When Jesus was at the cross he talked to God not pray
But prayers also important
I usually pray for the safety of others too

Let me show you a prayer of one Muslim saint we know. The prayer is very eloquent and I don't remember it exactly, so let me just paraphrase.

O Allah
If I worship you for want of paradise, deny me paradise.
If I worship you for fear of hell, throw me in hell.

Your story brings back memories of my own experience working in a restaurant during secondary school. It was owned by a Chinese owner, but the restaurant primarily employed Malays along Upper Changi Road—Eden Seafood Restaurant.

I had a Malay aunty there who treated me like her son. She would wait until I finished my shift so we could walk together and catch the same bus home. She often shared stories about her husband's mistreatment of her and would ask if I was hungry. Big Grin She was petite, pleasant-looking, and at most 40 years old. She was a good muslimah  Big Grin

Alcohol use is a major bane of society. Alcohol-related death, injuries, and violence are all major threats to families and society.

Islamic teachings forbid alcohol. Christianity doesn't. That is just one point where Islamic teachings trump Christianity. I have a few more.

Jesus drunk wine .
Moderate drinking is OK..
Ephesians 5:18 says: "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit."

To carry on the discussion, I have given you one point where the teachings of Islam are better for the self, the family, and the society than Christianity.

As for eating fried food, if we are moderate in our intake of fried food, we are okay. After all, we need to eat and sometimes, we do want to eat delicious food. Now, is eating in moderation a teaching in Islam. YES. Our Prophet told us to eat in moderation. Do we have a similar teaching in Christianity? Well, I'm sure you can find some verses in the Bible where it can be interpreted to mean don't eat in excess, but not explicit teaching.

Science today has proven that even drinking in moderation is bad for health.

Anyhow, in any society where drinking alcohol is allowed, we will definitely see the bad effects of alcohol on the self, the family, and society. Just look at Singapore.

As I've said, Islamic teachings will lead to a better life for the self, the family, and society.

Proverbs 23:20-21:
"The glutton and the drunkard will come to ruin, and the drunkard will be impoverished."

That is the teaching from the Bible...we do not need Jesus to explicitly say that.

Why are you going to the Hadith to build your argument Big Grin It is not Allah's words! Big Grin Familiar?

You want more Sahih Hadiths from me?

A cold beer on a hot day is really enjoyable... you should give it a try. There are fruity beers available with a very low alcohol content.

Christianity doesn't forbid alcohol. But yes, as you've quoted, there are prohibition against getting drunk. But does that help? No, it doesn't. We can see that if it is not forbidden by law, we will surely find people who are drunkards. It is best to forbid it totally.

Of coures you won't agree because it will highlight the weakness of the teachings in Christianity for a better life.

If today is already a public holiday, what more Christmas.

Even Singapore doesn't have a public holiday today.

It is quite contradictory that an Islamic country recognizes Ascension Day.

It goes against the belief of Islam
