In Jewish tradition, the Israelites are considered God's chosen people, primarily due to the covenant established with Abraham and the subsequent covenant at Mount Sinai. This concept is deeply rooted in the Hebrew Bible, which describes the Israelites as a "holy people" and a "special treasure" to God. While the idea of chosenness is central to Jewish identity, its interpretation and application have been subjects of ongoing discussion and debate.

Next time when I see a moslem...I will ask him isaac or ishmael? The Bible says Isaac, the moslems go with Ishmael...

Where in the Bible and the Quran does it says that descendants of Ishmael need to be circumcised?

The Bible says that Jesus represents the fullness of God's divine revelation and so there will be no more prophets giving public revelation after him. There may be seers or people God has given private revelation, like what happened at Fatima, but there will be no more public revelation or a prophet like Moses.

Christianity and Christian was started by Paul, Not by Jesus

Act 11:25:26

25 Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul,26 and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

Who is the Founder of Christianity? Remember Paul was Persecuting Christians
If Paul was the Christianity creator, there would have been no one for him to persecute prior to his conversion. But he was persecuting Christians.

This diversity of tradition has resulted in the diversity of opinion among the scholars of Islam. Some of them e.g. Ibn Jarir and Qadi `Iyad, have expressed the firm opinion that the son was the Prophet Isaac.

Others, like Ibn Kathir have given the verdict that it were the Prophet Ishmael. There ware others who are un-certain and wavering, e.g. Jalaluddin Suyuti. However, a deep inquiry into the question establishes the fact that the son intended to be offered as a sacrifice was the Prophet Ishmael. The following are the arguments: ...

The simple fact is that the view that it was ismail is not unanimous among the muslim scholars. Mawdudi like most modern scholars concludes it was ismail, but this does not change the fact that difference of opinion exists..

You haven't answered a simple question. Why is it important for you to know?

Do you think we prefer it to be Ishmael instead of Isaac? Nay. Both are equally revered. Both were the sons of our patriarch Abraham. Both were chosen by Allah to be prophets. We do not say one is greater than the other.

Peace and blessings be upon the prophets mentioned.

Why is it not important for you to know? Every small detail accumulates over time. Genesis, which predates Islam by thousands of years, claims it was Isaac, yet Islam, which emerged much later, often remains silent or offers numerous scholarly interpretations that seem to contradict earlier scriptures. Why is there this disparity?

It is not important because the lesson is about the obedience of Prophet Abraham, pbuh.

Now tell me. Why did you say you NEED to know?

Why Issac?

So you believe it is Isaac? Then you must also believe that God promised his descendants the land of canaan which is modern day Palestine!

Now tell me. Why did you need to celebrate when no sacrifice was made?

Yes, of course. The promise to the children of Israel is in the Quran. We believe it 100%.

We also believe that the promise was given with a condition.

We commemorate the obedience of Prophet Abraham, pbuh. We aspire to be a fraction as obedient,

We praise God who gives us rules, so we can show our obedience. The simplest one, don't eat pork.

The children of israel are back!
Why is it important for you to believe that the condition was not fulfilled, considering that God gathered them back?

There are many events that teaches obedience
Why is it important to celebrate something that did not happen? There was no sacrifice!

Footballers celebrate winning trophies because they have sacrifice everything to winning it....Abrahim has not sacrifice his son so what is there to celebrate? You just take the chance to perform massacre on innocent animals in the name of obedience!! Pitiful!

Yes... Abraham offered two sons, but neither of them was harmed, so that doesn't qualify as a sacrifice...

Jesus, on the other hand, died on the cross for all humanity....that is a true sacrifice.
