You suggest that the Father will save Jesus and prevent His death, but we have told you that Jesus was aware of His destiny and was willing to die to save humanity.

 Now, compare this to Allah replacing an innocent man with Jesus, causing his death, and then ending Jesus's life before His ascension. Is Allah more merciful than our Father?

Jesus' death and resurrection opened the way for a new covenant, where the Holy Spirit would be poured out on all believers, not just a select few.
