You are the one who keeps bringing up that Quran verse where Allah says we shouldn't take the Jews and Christians, who are friends with each other, as our friends.
Dunno how many times you quoted that verse here, over and over again.

Yesterday, I chatted with a Christian woman who has a strong knowledge of the Bible. She mentioned that Abraham did not go to Arabia and that Ishmael is like a forgotten son, not the ancestor of the Arabs.
When I brought up COVID, I said that it might be part of God's will. She responded by saying that God's intention is to prosper the people in large numbers, not see a decline in population. I then pointed out that the large number of deaths could also be seen as part of God's will...she kept quiet
She is like our friend Ali refusing to give in

Several other verses also address the topic of honoring parents:
* Exodus 20:12: "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you".
* Leviticus 19:3: "Every one of you shall revere his mother and his father...".
* Proverbs 23:22: "Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old".
* Matthew 15:4: "For God commanded, 'Honor your father and your mother'; and, 'Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.'" according to Focus on the Family.
* Colossians 3:20: "Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord".

I never said the Bible doesn't have such verses. But only in Islam is the teaching to be extra kind to aged parents can be found.
Btw, do you agree with Matthew 15:4? Should children who revile their parents be put to death?

Jesus tells us how we can be CERTAIN of our salvation. Jesus says this in the book of Revelation.
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.
And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Yes, some Islamic traditions suggest that Prophet Muhammad expressed uncertainty about his own fate in the afterlife. Specifically, a verse in the Quran (46:9) is cited, where Muhammad states he does not know what will happen to him or his followers. This verse is interpreted as a statement of humility and a reminder that only God knows who will be admitted to Paradise, according to some scholars.
Here's a more detailed explanation:
- Quran 46:9:
This verse is central to the discussion. It states, "I am not the first of the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow what is revealed to me, and I am but a clear warner.".
- Humility and Submission:
Many Muslims interpret this verse as a testament to Muhammad's humility and submission to God's will. It emphasizes that salvation is ultimately in God's hands, not a matter of human certainty.
- Not a Contradiction:
Some scholars reconcile this with other traditions about Muhammad's virtues and eventual entry into Paradise by suggesting that while he didn't know his specific fate with certainty, he also had knowledge of certain aspects of the afterlife through divine revelation according to some Islamic scholars.
- No Guarantee:
This concept highlights that in Islam, salvation is not guaranteed to anyone, even prophets. It is a matter of God's judgment based on faith and deeds.

Scholars like Bruce Metzger or Bart Ehrman don't lie. They have a reputation to maintain among their peers.
And no, I don't believe the Bible is true.
So, do you agree the child should be put to death if he reviles his parents?
